OK this is a joke or more like they are turning into one .But they say they cant reproduce this , really .any moron could come up with the idea to. Just copy someones build of computer/OS/video card/etc/etc/make/model.
And guess what you just might be able to then reproduce the problem. Are there no thinkers working for you guys. You guys do have money now you cant hide that because we gave it to you Im just to trying to cover all angles.
It shouldn't be that difficult there are Allot of different builds and then you Add them up(thats the + key) just how many times( e.g the name Nadia is mentioned for someones video card/ sound, and Mobo or do i need to tell you Mobo stands for Motherboard). And when your done you take the BIGGEST number of everything component.
.AND maybe i don't know? buy that brand maybe . for a Test computer . That might make it easier for you. But if thats to hard i guess one of the community, could get the numbers for you.
And if you have any problems we WILL have a community member waiting eagerly to assist you with any problem you may have, we are here 24/7/365 /366 days a year for your wallet i mean gaming pleasure.
signed not EA
PS
And thank you fer your support ...lmao
So here is an interesting bit. I have multiple systems of very similar spec. I only see the problem on one system. The highest end system of the lot. (Of COURSE it is the highest end one, it is my GAMING system.
So, given that I am only seeing it on 20% of the systems I have in my house, I can totally see how it might be missed since it is not seen on 80% of systems out there. Also, if this thread is any indication (number of people responding to it versus forum members) I suspect that the actual percentage is much lower than 20%.
I suppose I could install it on the other 3 systems here to increase my sample size, and maybe even build a few more, but I suppose my point is made.
And, FWIW, my load time gets upward of 15-20 minutes at certain parts of the game. I *GET* the frustration.

i disagree with the lower then 20% just because there are do many fanbois out there that would never admit that there is anything wronge with the game at all while lying through their teeth. i think the % is higher

dear people, i would like to say it is not your rig problem but it's the game itself. even a super computer will have a problem with this game, it's because bad coding. i just enter mass effect 2 forum and what, it's has similar problem with the dragon age. long loading time and other problem. gamers like us do really want to play smooth game. many of us here burn their wallet just to upgrade their rig to play the latest game.
<sarcasm>That is great to know, because ME2 is very visibly a different code base than DA:O.</sarcasm> If you are seeing this with ME2 and it were bad code, then you would be seeing it with other Unreal Tournament games, right?

IHello, this is happening to my PC also.
by reading this

issue.

Logitech game panel for a g15 keyboard?.
Hmm this is Interesting. I use the Logitech Panel for my G9x Mouse and Win7 x64.
Maybe I try installing it on the laptop and see if loadtimes increase (don't have the issiue on my laptop).

Operating System: WINE (1.1.37) in WinXP or Win2k mode (tried both) for my own PC (Gentoo Linux), WinXP fully updated for the others
RAM: 6GB for my own PC, 2GB for the others
CPU: i7 for my own, unknown intel processor for the others (well above recommended though)
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 295 for me, random versions of Nvidia 9600 for the others
disk activity appeared to be normal in all PCs during loading times, leading me to agree with the assumption that it has nothing to do with the disk at all
haven't tried yet to force the game to run on a single CPU but will give it a shot, both on my PC and the net cafe ones but CPU load so far appears consistent with that of similar games, no weird spikes or anything
as for how long it takes before the delay starts? it depends entirely on the areas i have visited and their state at the time. usually it ranges from an hour and a half to two and a half hours... at which point i have seen loading screens jump from 10 seconds to 10 minutes (more like 9.48 but yeah) Denerim Market and Orzammar Commons appear to be the usual suspects, but every area in the game is affected... with the exception of Camp where it loads in roughly half the time regardless of delays
the bug is impossible NOT to replicate on any of the machines i have tried and behaves exactly the same regardless of the presence or lack thereof of any DLC/mods. it happens every single time in both windowed and fullscreen mode making it virtually impossible to continue play without restarting the game

one thing i don't understand, why bioware are not keen to solve the problem either way let the da fan boy and girl solve it. when the witcher got this problem, using different game engine as i remember using aurora engine, their seem solved it with release a few patch and finally re-work the game, so born the witcher enchanced edition and problem solved. they should use the witcher as the example.
if you have above the recommended requirement spec to play the game, don't worry, it's not your rig problem. like i was mention before, you can throw everything at it.

Restarting the game doesn`t make loads any shorter like some people said. I have persistent gore off graphics all on low, the sparkly affects is off.. ughh.. I`m not gonna play this game anymore.. I was really patient for this playthrough mainly because I was watching anime most of the time and I didn`t get to enjoy the game because most of my time spent on it was at the loading screens.

Seriously, since you are so whiz-bang at this stuff. What games have you put out? If you are as good as you claim, I am sure that they are best sellers. Also, why haven't you posted your fix in the "Projects" area? You have had months to work on it. Isn't it ready yet?
Or maybe you should let the professionals do their job?

All of these are Digital Distro versions of games. All run great at first. Then go bad the more its played. Only thing they all have in common is EADM.exe. More precisely the Core.exe running in background.
Is it possible that the whole issue is brought about by the EA Download Manager? Are we all using it for some game or another and while its running (the Core.exe mainly) thats causing us this backlash?

Mine is not a digital download, and I am not running EADM at all. Plus, the game is only taking up 1GB of my 4GB memory. It IS, however, running at ~65% of my CPU (all 4 cores) right from the get go, and it only gets worse, but then all 4 cores drop in activity during the long loading time.

unfortunately avg doesn't stop when you kill it, the processes start up again very shortly after.
you may have to uninstall it temporarily to test this.

ok to star: Apex your 8800 isnt DX 11 approved nor running. Ok from here I found another instance of the "Memory Leak". Im using EADM for Mass Effect, DA:O and all addons, and Sims 3 + Battlefield 2, 2142 and all addons. My main gaming PC is suffering load times and video lag on ALL of these. *almost forgot Spore as well. ** oh and Crysis too!

I know it's not DX 11 Approved thats is just the version that is installed.

Athlon 2 x4 620
4 GB RAM
8600 GT
All drivers are current. BIOS is current.
Same issue with the slow downs, from the outset of installation. One up the issue, it causes the whole system to slow down, even on the reboot (no other game installed or program does this). After the reboot, the system is fine. Issue occurs after a few hours, with load times varying from 40 sec to 4 min. The system is well ventilated and the VidCard has a 120 blowing to it and 80 sucking.
I'm attempting the Phenom II fix pack and .net 4.2 to see if these help, however, I don't have high hopes. I've owned almost all BioWare games and am a bit disheartened with the issue.

I've noticed that the games performance seems to degrade in relation to the load time increase - they seem like they are connected. Towards the end of a long play time (5-6 hrs) the game performance is terrible as is the long load time. A restart brings the game to fluid smooth as well as a quick load.
See previous post by me for system spec.

Final loading time: 2 min 30 s
4GB (3.2GB usable)
Hard drive light not blinking
CPU: Phenom II X4 B50
Video: Nvidia 8800GT
My problem was fixed by exiting to menu and loading saved game. I do that every half hour.

Daniel Torres designed for the Aurora version of Dragon Age. Here,
it serves as an initial experiment for the design of a framebuffer
effect object, or series of objects for the Eclipse Engine.(postprocesseffect.erf)
still working on finding the system processing file....
