 Any chance we'll see the armor worn by Citadel's final boss when you first encounter him as an armor set? The Phantom armor you can get from the Armax Arena is neat, but it's a little light for my tastes. What do you guys think? Would you want some Cat-6 armor for Shepard?

Don't get your hopes up. The only new armor set in the DLC as far as anyone knows is the Cerberus armor you get from the arena. Great stats, awful skin.

And since there's no more DLC, we shouldn't expect any armor or appearance packs to offer new choices.

I guess people on PC could create some skins, but other than that i don't think we'll be seeing this armor available to the player at any point.

was the cat-6 mostly a retexture/alteration of the (cant remember its name since i dont have it) Armour that came as promnotional DLC for Shepard? im sure its the same chunky armour that James Vega wears.

It's definitely based on the Defender armour. If it's not, it's incredibly similar.

I'm hoping that by "last DLC" they meant it was the final expansion DLC and they'll continue to release Appearance Packs that include armor for Shepard. It's a faint hope, but still there.

This was answered by Priestly awhile ago, I'll try and find the thread for you, but I'll sum it up.

No, there is no more DLC, this includes weapon or armor packs.

Game is done.

It's a bulkier reinforced version of the N7 Defender Armor, which is only unlockable if you pre-ordered from Gamestop. I don't think the CAT6 Heavy Armor is available to the player, unless it's hidden somewhere in the DLC and no one has found it yet...

Maybe we'll get to use it in the next Mass Effect game, though. That seems likely. Maybe the new protagonist will be a member (or former member) of CAT6?

It should be pretty easy to mod a save to unlock it on the PC, seen as it is worn by shepard.

Pretty sure it would not be easy at all. Just because he wore it, does not mean you can wear it.

I have the N7 Defender, which I do like, but I'm still jealous of the final boss' armor.

I really hope the protagonist of the next game is not associated with CAT6, though, or is at least a FORMER member, because the name itself has negative connotations in-universe even before they tried to kill Shepard.

Perhaps a coalesced modification can be made by creating a new armor set and simply setting the mesh to this "bulky N7 defender" armor and use some pre existing stats of the armor of your choice

That'd be difficult, as you'd first have to identify the model and force the game to stream the assets.

Finding the model shouldn't be that difficult ME3 Explorer has it's uses, but I see what you mean about the assets

A friend I know have inserted this CAT6 armor along with Smarteck's high res textures instead of  the Reckoner Knight armor, so that the CAT6 armor is now available for female Shepards. If you don't have the Reckoner Knight unlocked by default, you can use my coalesced mod (also included in the folder)



Simply download this BIOG_HMF_HGR_SHP_R and replace it with the original in the CookedPCConsole folder in the Mass Effect 3 folder and run the MOD files with ME3explorer (also in the download link).

As an extra treat, I've also added the Asari Commando armor instead of the Dragon Age armor. Note that the resolution isn't up to par, but it's still better than a medieval armor.

For CAT6 Heavy? I guess this is N7 Defender remodeled armor.

CAT6 specialist i guess, they use same armor as Cerberus Centurions.

They are the same suit as far as I can tell but I'll be damned if I can work out how to swap the textures.

Phantom_Liara.zip is basically Liara's armour texture for Phantom and Phantom_Brooks.zip is Brooks texture for Phantom.

I like having 'light' armour on my Adept Shepard because it feelsmore akin to Mass Effect 1. I didn't like her having the Cerberus colours though.

Argh! This is an irritation.

My anti-virus, AVG Free, wont let TexMod run. It sees the temp file TexMod creates as a Trojan.

Works fine if I disable my anti-virus.

Setting TexMod as an exception doesn't help because it is the .tmp file created that is the issue.

I'd highly recommend Avast over AVG. It's false positive.
