The original is 14,784 X 7066! Here is Liara as a sample:

I would gladly share the image, but I'm not sure how. As a PNG it is 70.5 MB. Even as a JPG it os 19.8MB. Most photo sharing sites have a maximum of around 5MB.

Here's my femshep with Liara as LI. I cropped the photo, as I was thinking of getting a canvas made out of it.

Sorry for sounding like a noob, but how did you crop this out of the game? Is there a folder/file that it's in? BTW with the high resolution the clarity on Liara is amazing.

dragonator89: Sorry, I meant cropped as in I trimmed the edges. I took the screenshot using tiledshot, which is a function of the game engine. You just need to bind it to a key, the process for which I outlined on the first page of this thread.

They won't be for everybody, but maybe some others would like the readily available hi-rez shot.

Seriously, anyone looking for that screenshot should Google tiledshot. Its a surprisingly easy process to get the ME3 Coalesced Utility by Monochrome Wench, and add the bind:
( Name="L", Command="TiledShot 10x10 400",Alt=True )
Then just press ALT + L and you'll get a HUGE perfect screenshot of your moment. I found it also useful to add:
( Name="NumPadTwo", Command="ToggleFlyCam" )
You can then press 2 on the numpad to back up a little. As the cinematic border seems to interfere with the Unreal engine screenshot function. At any rate, now I have a 14000 X 7000 shot that caps off Mass Effect nicely for me.
Others I sometimes use are:
Pause the game except for you:
( Name="NumPadNine", Command="playersonly" )
Remove all the interface overlays etc:
( Name="NumPadOne", Command="show scaleform")
Some of those I haven't been able to get to work in cinematic mode for some reason, despite adding them to bioinput.ini > sfxgame > sfcgamemodecinematic, but they work otherwise when added to bioinput.ini > sfxgame > sfcgamemodebase. Normally toggleflycam would allow you to fly the camera around and take the shot you want.
I binded the keys and pressed alt + L to take the screenshot. So where is the screenshot located? I navigated to "documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 3/BIOGame/Screenshot" and nothing was in there. I spent half an hour searching on google, and couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

You'll know the screenshot was taken if the screen locks up for a moment when you press Alt+L. It takes several seconds for mine to capture and write the resulting 500+ MB BMP file.

Couples are looking at each other and judging from the look LI is giving Shepard they'll be excusing themselves shortly.LilyasAvalon wrote...
Why's everyone looking at each other? LOOK AT THE CAMERA, PEOPLE! D:
If you're quick with the screenshot key you can get Shepard looking forward.

Blessings upon you, SeanF! Now I'm gonna waste a bunch of time taking super-duper hi res pics throughout the game.

Hey Dragonator... were you able to locate where your photos were going?
I was having the same issue as you... but I was able to find out where they were getting dumped.
I'm not sure what your setup is like, but I have a primary and secondary hard drive (with Origin and Mass Effect on the secondary drive).
My screen shots were going into the main hard drive (the "Local Disk") in a "Screenshots" folder (so C:/Screenshots).
Hopefully that will work for you.

That's where it goes for me, so something might not be right somewhere. I'm definitely no expert on coalesced editing, but maybe make sure the bind is in both bioinput.ini > sfxgame > sfxgamemodebase and bioinput.ini > sfxgame > sfxgamemodecinematic?

Why is it that only 3/4 of my image is captured? it's like the computer just gave up at the last quarter of the image. I think it has something to do with the cinematic letterbox.. My screen resolution is 1440x900. But after taking the screenshot (using TiledShot 10x10 400) the resolution is 14400x8100 with a size of 333mb bmp. So for some reason I just lost 900px. So how did you take your screenshot to get it to capture the entire screen with cinematic letter box and all? I think this only happens while capturing during cinematic scenes. Screenshots taken outside cinematic scenes are fine when there's no letterbox. Once again thanks for your help.

Yeah I was able to locate where the screenshots were going (this was my setup: documents/Bioware/Mass Effect 3/BIOGame/Screenshots). But now that I have my screenshots I've ran into another problem, lol. Only 3'4 of my screen is captured. I think this only happens while capturing during cinematic scenes with the letterbox. The screenshot is fine outside cinematic scenes when there's no letterbox.

Yes, as I said the same happens for me, seemingly due to the cinematic border. So I found the ToggleFlyCam command allowed me to back up enough to get their legs in the shot. As you can see from my shot, the photo is cropped to just where the edge of the table is. Might be a better way to get it all done, I just haven't experimented enough to find it. There's probably an ME3/Unreal engine guide out there that could tell us more. Maybe a way to get the flycam controls to work in cinematic mode? Maybe a way to remove the cinematic border, or stop it interfering? I haven't looked into it, but you certainly could if you wanted to.

Time well wasted I say! Definitely some of the lanscapes are worth capturing. And a massive pano of Eden Prime definitely qualifies as a great subject for wall art.

Would have been nice if the game had created a screenshot with the current resolution and put it in our saved game folder or something like that for us
Why is it always fans who come up with easy, reasonable ideas like this? When Bioware was holding planning/storyboarding meetings you'd think one person would think 'hey, our customers are really attached to their Sheps and crews, why not have the group photo automatically export to a high-res jpeg?'
like really simple, obvious stuff
i mean come on

I agree, as soon as the flash went off a decision wheel should have come up prompting the player to choose between a low, medium and high resolution photo, as well as "no photo". It should have been dead easy for them to do, and something every fan who's played this far would want.
