I was thinking about developing Alistair as a dual wield warrior and curious if anyone had tried this already ? If you have, (1) what second specialization did you choose and what was the rest of your party like.

Oh, I've messed around with the notion once I got Shale on my Mage playthrough. I gave him Templar/Berserker as his specializations. I would have given him Berserker/Champion if I bothered with respeccing.



My party is as follows - in that playthrough:



Utility/Offensive/CC Mage - PC (BM/SH)

DW DPS - Alistair

Tank - Shale

Backline Support/Scouter - Leliana (Bard/Ranger)

Berserker is a must-have for dual-wield warriors. Berserk is a flat +8 damage per attack which really starts to shine when you have high attack speed like a warrior with momentum.
