 Shephard accidentally ate mindfish at Khan's charity event and slowly started to trip harder and harder until she peaks at her party. By that point she is straight up hallucinating and misinterprets the events of the party as some strange interaction with a starchild where she has three choices vis a vis the reapers. She, for example, keeps talking to admiral anderson's biography and repeating that she made him proud. Later she screamed at Liara when she biotic pulled a gun out of Shephard's hand and said "You're out of control Shephard." Shephard was shouting "YOU'RE OUT OF CONTROL! Look at yourself! you're... indoctrinated!" After claiming that her DNA was disseminated across the galaxy through the mass relays in a self sacrificial synthesis of organics and synthetics, she retired to Samara's meditation corner, y'know with the pebbles and trees and stuff. When Joker and EDI came by to check on her she kept pestering them asking how they outran the green space magic and ended up on her garden planet.

Shephard will be fine, she just needs to sleep off her bad trip a little bit.
