Why should you be rewarded for not doing optional content?

I said a small scene/bonus that is a one-off of the sort would NOT be a huge investment as opposed to a romance that takes over an entire game to mature.

What is wrong with asking for one measly extra scene at the end for a stoic aka no romance protagonist?

Because you seem to be asking to be rewarded for not doing entirely optional content with no baring on gameplay whatsoever.

Wait what? No baring on gameplay? Can the same not be said for romance sidequests? You can easily say a friendship sidequest could be considered optional to a romance sidequest. There is no harm in both of them co-existing together.

Perhaps bonus is the wrong word since it seems to be bugging all your romancers so maybe an easter egg scene for a stoic protagonist. I guess it is the wording.

David pls consider a bonus scene/easter.

Damn you I had Closer to the Edge stuck in my head for over a week, and now its gone! Replaced by this song and I didn't even click on music.

There was a thread similar to this one in the past. I believe even Gaider commented something on the issue (can't remember exactly what). There'll not be any sort of reward for players who decided against romancing other characters. I'm paraphrasing from what little I remember.

That would be mine, and even though I specifically asked them not to, many responses I got resorted to childish ad-hominem attacks or snarky sarcasm that mocked me. Big surprise, this thread appears no different. And you people wonder why I hate the romance-obsessed fans on these forums so much. <_<

I do actually have a kitty named Ser Pounce-a-lot.  But since I usually play though all the companion sidequests, including the romance ones, I will not be able to crazy cat lady it up in DA3.  Sadface.

I find the recent spate of people wanting to be able to rape people in a game so incredibly disturbing. I'm sure there's some creepy ass Japanese hentai game that does that. Ugh.

What romance side quests?  I can't think of any quest in dragon age that is accessible only through a romance.

The issue is that a romance is already bonus content.  Wanting bonus content for not choosing to do bonus content just strikes us as... Bizarre, redundant, and nonsensical.

The "But it's optional content" nonsense has already been refuted. There's no reason why someone who doesn't romance anyone shouldn't get to know some other non-romanceable companion better than the people who romance someone. In a scene where you usually talk with your LI, you could instead have a chat with said companion, taking your friendship to a level you can't reach otherwise.

If you spend time with your LI before an impending critical event, you can't spend that time with a friend. Just like there could be some special interaction with your LI that only happens at that specific time, there could also be some special interaction with a companion that can only happen at that specific time.
