Well insanity is meant to be hard.
Engineer clone with drone and flamer turret + Bioware's cheat when you bring him down early (clone insta regen hp and shields early in the fight, I caught him in my flamer turret + tech explosion + incinerate and he insta regened instead of dying) is just ... *ugh!*

As someone mentioned above, its *Shepard* you are fighting, imagine if you were that poor mook facing him.

Haven't tried vanguard yet but knowing that it'll be a NovaGuard spam fest ... *shudders*

Vanguard was so much easier than the engineer for me. Engineer took me more than an hour to finally win this and I did it with the vanguard rather quickly. Gonna try infiltrator next.

it took me multiple times to figure out how to bet Shepclone as an adept on insanity. damn nades do insane damage! and Shepclone gets up close on you and pelts you biotics and gun fire??? down in a second!!

constant warps, BEs and cluster nades was the only way i could beat her. I took EDI and Liara with my Femshep. good fight.

Soldier was pretty nice. Carnage instantly removes shields, inferno grenades keep burning forever. In the end of the fight half of the shuttle bay was on endless fire :)

It was fun to use Dominate forcing minions to attack each other and clone. Thanks Leviathan for that :)

I did hardcore Soldier with M-7 Lancer equipped and Garrus and Ash (romanced) as my squaddies (both were using the Typhoon). That damn clone was moving so fast that I had to constantly use AR to get a steady bead on him. It was a fast boss battle though. i had him using a medi-gel every few seconds. Brooks got dropped right off the bat (me, Garrus, and Ash all focused on her immediately. Funny thing was, I didn't even tell them to) and a few seconds later the clone used a medi-gel and she got back up. Lost track of her after that cause I was focused on the clone and the CAT-6 guys that started popping up. At the end he cornered me and almost killed me, but he got dropped before he could finish me off (not sure who got him because I was too busy trying to stay alive).

Infiltrator broshep is difficult at first, but once you realize that if you just cloak cycle him twice or 3x (depending on using Javelin or Black Widow, because you really should be using those weapons as an infiltrator at this point) and ignore literally everything else, you're fine. Maybe use a bullet to quickly take down Brooks? Each medigel should only take you 2/3 bullets out of your clip, which is definitely within the thermal capacities of both weapons.

The cloak is what really got me. He'd cloak, then run around so I couldn't see him, my henchies couldn't find him, then when I decloaked he'd just head straight at me. Shot or not, I'd end up in a melee with a bunch of grenades or an incinerate to the face.

Lol, gonna try it again this weekend. Now that I've beaten him once and I'm not so risk-averse, maybe I'll work out a decent tactic to win.

About 4-5 hours of trying Insanity Adept so far, and the best I've done is one medigel, that's it. If the clone gets in range? Dead to gunfire, once the first bullet his the game slows and there's not even a way to dodge/react. It's also such a skewed fight, I mean, really? Brooks is immortal? I've killed her dead multiple times over in a given fight, and she just comes back, along with killing all the footsoldiers, which seem to be in endless supply. I gotta say, this is the single most frustrating fight I've played on any play through on any of the four games, and I'm really starting to hate it. The only thing remotely close was with this same character against the brutes and Harbinger in the courtyard of the colony in ME2.

The graphics glitches really interfere with clear sight also. Any time I fight in that room, blue "plasma fire" is all over the place, and doesn't go away even after I die. Only by fully exiting and reloading does it clear, and then only until the clone's first biotic attack.

I'm curious whether clone Shepherd has the same updates/extra skill boosts you can get at Glyph's intelligence terminal throughout the game.

If not, that's definitely one distinct advantage real Shepherd has over clone Shepherd.

I did the same, except that I took Tali instead of EDI. The extra Warps and Energy Drains for the shields came in handy. But it's not so nice being at the other end of those Warps.

A bit of advice.
In the back there is a box of medigel.
It will refill all your medigel so spam the heck out of it.
And after a short time the box will be available again to refill your gel.
Ive only done Adept Shepard. Holy crap it was hard on insanity. The only fight I used medigel on Insanity. Kudos Bioware.

I'll keep trying, but damn that clone is hardcore (on insanity). The clone doesn't have my lash ability, but it's doesn't help at all against her. Medigel also doesn't help much when a hit means death, there's not much in between. I wonder if that's due to my high level (59)?

I played against the infiltrator on insanity and I only died thrice( I used a Black Widow)

It needs to be said tough that this fight's design is laughbly amature you basically have to kill the exact same enemy six!  times while he uses a breed of medi- gel that heals armor and shields for some reason, oh well, :wizard:

With my infiltrator, I just ended up leading the clone to my teammates so they'd get into that melee fight sequence, and I'd just lob all my grenades at the clone while she was immobile.

Lord don't tell me that. This is my class for my current ME playthrough.

Lol. I'll just gird myself for the frustration (or turn the diffficulty down).

Does the clone wear different armor depending on your class?

I never really knew because my Shepards have always been like, default apperance, Male soldiers.

he doesn't instaregen... He simply uses medigel, like you do... there's a counter for how many medigels the clone still has on the top right side of the screen...
He can use this to revive Brooks too if she is downed...

Try another loadout, I was getting my ass kicked by vanguard Shepard on insanity (Charge/nova spam with no cooldown, stunning me and having his minions finish the job) until I realised I was over encumbered, then I went on for payback with just a revenant and 200% bonus. It wasn't a walk in the park, I got the job done.

Too bad you have to start the level all over again if you want to switch weapons.

I'm using my favorite Sniper rifle - the Black Widow. I'll switch it up (maybe use a different extra power than Defense Matrix), and see if I do any better. This weekend, I will prove that I am the infiltrator god, AND CLONE SHEP WILL COWER IN FEAR!!!!

You have to figure, soldier only has ammo types and a slow time ability and sentinel only really has a super shield. Those are probably the 2 classes that would be easiest. Something like an engineer or a vanguard that have direct and powerful class powers will be much harder.

It also comes down to difficulty setting. The people saying they had lots of trouble were probably on insanity or hardcore. If you was on normal, it would be a lot easier.

Dude, evil clone soldier shep f**** you up pretty hard with incendiary amplified Concussive Shot and grenades everywhere.

I went up against Infiltrator Clone Shep on Insanity and it was a NIGHTMARE!

After my first reload, the guy just beelined to my position and meleed and bombed, Incinerated, killed me about 5 times while my initial spawn cooldown was still running. When I finally got him to attack Wrex, if I de-cloacked for more than 20 seconds, the same thing happened.

I finally just endlessly cloaked and sniped him from afar, rezzing Wrex to keep him off me. Anyone else have trouble with this fight?

I didn't die in the fight against my Infiltrator clone on Insanit, but it was definitely not easy. From the very beginning I was getting trolled.

Shepard walked in like a bad ass with the old Avenger. She felt like she didn't need to lug around a heavy Anti Material rifle. Plus it was cutting down her cool down anyway. Lets see what this wannabe brings to the table.

Clone Shepard walks out with big ass Anti Material rifle.

Shepard: Ah ****!

I tend to try to not nova cancel cheese my way to victory but after getting hit hard I just exploited invincibility frames to easy victory. My engineer went down once to stun lock when I got careless with cover. Been a long time since I went down on SP at all, I was mildly impressed.

Does the clone have the same builds as you? Like does the clone have the same evo you take for your shep and the same bonus power? Also does it seem like the clones abilities base damage is higher than yours?

I agree. I play usually as infiltrator and only in normal/hardcore, and evil shep with a black widow and tactical cloak was already a nightmare. I found the overall difficulty of the dlc much higher than in-game. Not to displease me. As long as it's not about horde mode.
