From the three classes I played on insanity vanguard was the easiest for me. I always ended up winning when we charged each other. He also seemed to miss with nova all the time if you were in standing cover.

Infiltrator wasn't too bad either. Engineer though ugh he was a jerk lol. I regret not taking energy drain...Fun fight at least.

I brought Javik and Garrus with a typhoon each. I didnt even get to shoot the clone much. The typhoons took care of it.

^I agree. I would say it was the best boss fight in the trilogy, put aside maybe Saren on the Citadel.

I think this was better, also the spectre boss fight in lotsb was another good one

I liked the fight, I tihnk there was a crate with medigel in there aswell if you need to resupply your medigel.

I hadn't got that bad of a time, I pit on all my ranged DPS boosters and headshot dmg boosters and used my blackwidow. 1 mag of wellplaced shots was enough when used with the cloak.

It's a tough fight but in my opinions it' a great fight, I din't die but Ihad to work on it and use my medigel.

I'm glad they made it challenging.

I thank the goddess that the clone doesn't detonate tech bursts or biotic explosions. That would make fighting the clone ****ing IMPOSSIBLE.

class doesn't matter. On insanity the clone will kick your ass repeatedly before you finally win. Hence why I say screw fighting Sheps at the Arena. My trick was to keep moving around the edge, healing often and stocking up at the 2 points. I played as an adept with I think 195 or 200% cool down and the clone could do 2 warps time it took me to do a pull and warp.

Next time I'm sticking to Wrex the whole of the DLC. Him charging is an awesome sight, I had Garrus and EDI for anti-shields.

My Soldier toughens up with spec'ing his Adrenaline Rush for defense (damage reduction, shield boost) and his bonus power is Fortification. It was still tough, though, with Brooks sniping me with the Crusader and the Clone tricking me out of cover with Frags and then slapping me with Carnage. I got in his face and omni-stabbed him and detonated tech bursts and fire explosions on him. Best fight in the whole franchise, imo.

Just did the whole thing as an Apedt on Insanity...boy was I pissed after dying about 15 times or so. The trick is to just focus the Clone with your Powers and those of your squadmates. As soon as I tried this tactic I only needed 2 more tires before I killed her. Just keep moving away from grenades and stuff and you'll be fine...and kill the CAT6 Heavy if he comes to close.

Despite me being pissed after dying so often I think this is by far the best fight in the whole series.

It was a fun fight, but they still had to resort to shaking the camera so you couldn't line up headshots to make it difficult ... no camera shake and infiltrator clone goes down too fast.

They come in with big guns too. The clone inf had a Black Widow, clone vanguard was sporting a Wraith.

Only other class I played was Soldier, and Clone version had a Valkyrie. Not really in the same class.

I did it with an Infiltrator, and yeah that first time I tried it he kicked my ass real quick. But playing conservatively, I just cloaked, ran off, then shot him up as he approached me. Rinse, lather, repeat, and once he's through his medigel you're golden.

Still my favorite fight in the game, possibly the series.

It seems like the build of the shepard-clone is somewhat dependant on your own...

I fought solder shepard once and it was nades and carnage...tried a different build and got AR shepard-clone...tried a third build and got hit by constantly spamming incidenary concussion shot...

Vanguard isnt that hard if you stay around some sort of cover, but is he/she gets behind you its nova all day. The Simulator against yourself on insane is nuts with the vanguard and infiltrator together. Thats a damn pain.

I destroyed him on my Infiltrator, on my Engineer it took me almost 20 tries to take him down, it was hell.

Found Soldier and Adept quite straightforward so far.

Thank you kindly! Adept is who I'm playing as with my current trilogy playthough, and am glad to get some tips.

There are a few youtube vids of it, but its mostly Venom cheese or similar OP weapon.

I want to see one with vanilla weapons in the game. Might even attempt it myself.

I just beat clone Adept on Insanity! Hurrah!

Seemed easier than the Clone Infiltrator. Not sure if it was because I beat the Infil once so I kinda knew what to expect with the Adept, or if it was just an easier fight. It helps that the Adept Clone doesn't go invisible on me, and can always be targeted by squad-mates.

Clone Vanguard was hard? It was much easier for me compared to an Infiltrator (which was pretty frustrating). I just made sure to spam charge and nova myself. I only took out the other mooks when they got in my way. Didn't even notice that Brooks was running around...somewhere.

Then again I had Wrex and Garrus with me. But I found other fights in ME3 more challenging than the Vanguard clone.

Clone Infiltrator is frustrating if you try to play it like a regular Infiltrator since you can easily get downed by Incinerate when he closes the distance. You gotta treat the Clone fight like you would a Gold multiplayer match - deal gobs of weapon-based DPS and do techsplosions when possible.

I brought Garrus and Wrex, since they had big guns and were fairly tanky and could detonate explosions, but Ashley/Kaiden and Vega would work too. Gave Garrus the Krysae (which is not nerfed like the MP version is) and Wrex and Reegar. Had a Reegar and Hurricane for myself, using the Hurricane to clear trash and the Reegar with a piercing mod to blow through the clone.  Apply Incendiary ammo if possible and get easy fire explosions.

I still died a few times since I got way too cocky and ended up getting caught in crossfires between the Clone's mooks, but it's actually pretty easy to take the Clone down this way as long as you exploit soft cover around the crates and get up in his face, then run away if your shields are down or you run out of ammo.

I only wish I could control Wrex directly because I would never die with a Reegar + Stimpacks and Carnage.
