I am finely making the transition from NWN2 tools to DAO tools and have looked everywhere I can think of for a way to remove the "I have lootz" glow from placeables in game, including a search of these forums.

I realize that there is an in game option to toggle the glow but I would like to remove it COMPLETELY from specific placeables, in order to make finding them a bit more difficult for PCs.

Any help is appreciated! :)

edit: spelling!

If you're using a placeable from the main campaign

Duplicate it.

Set 'Interactive' to False.

Then you need to have a trigger that will make the loot placeable appear when the PC gets close enough. Maybe look at how traps or secret doors work as those do something similar to what you are trying to achieve.

I seem to recall there is a mod that removes it, but I can't check as the DA Nexus site appears to be in the toilet at the moment. I think it was one of those "personal annoyance remover" type mods. There are a couple. I think one of them at least is posted here on the social site, so try searching the projects page.

Setting interactive to false will remove the PCs ability to open the placeable, which kinda defeats the whole purpose. But thanks.

I was hoping not to have to create a script for this... But that is not a problem. My main love of module making is the scripting.<3 Thanks.

I have not been able to find a MOD for removing the placeable loot glow. If you know it exists can you link it please?

Place an invisible object, make it interactable, and give it an inventory. I'm pretty sure it will only light up if you happen to mouse over it, but not if you hold the shift button (or whatever that button is, I forget).

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it didnt work.
Placing an inventory in the invisible container still makes it glow.

Put the inventory in a completely different placeable, place it somewhere inaccesible, then in a custom script for the invis object, on the USE event, open the inventory of your other placeable. Pretty sure that would work.

I figured this would require a script. No biggie. I am good with scripting.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
