Seriously? I've seen the vids of it, it wasn't *that* bad, especially not if you take alcohol consumption and the fact that it is a party in to account. It's not like he was resisting that much, even from her first conversation with him you got the opinion he was interested in her as a woman but was not comfortable with the fact she was his CO.

...I find your post incredibly disturbing.

And Vega said no. Shepard kept pressuring him, and pressured him more when he was drunk and vulnerable, even after he said no until he complied. That is not okay, even at a party while one of the people in involved is inebriated. Infact, it's even more disturbing if that is the case. It is never okay to do something like that.

The scene was a bit uncomfortable for me. I was thinking that if the situation were reversed and it were a guy pressuring a girl into having sex with him by getting her drunk... I know that a lot of gals like Vega and wanted to have at least a fling with him, but I don't know if this is how they envision the romance to be.

Of course it is a difference. The vast majority of victims of sexual harassment and Rape are Women.

So if a Male Shepard would speak to a Ash that way, it would be problematic. But it isn't Bro Shep, it's Fem Shep, and so it's neither sexual harassment nor Date Rape. 

And honestly, everyone who compare this to Rape should educate themselves, because they are downplaying Rape.

Yeah, they did an amazing job with the Alistair and Garrus romances for the female players.

The pushy cougar romances (Jacob and James), however, are as you say... awkward and disturbing.  FemShep has to push a little with Kaidan in ME1 but it wasn't disturbing.

Just because the majority of victims are female doesn't mean that there are no male victims, or victims of female aggressors. It certainly doesn't mean that a male victim of sexual harassment or assault hasn't been victimized, just because, as in Vega's case, there's probably no way for her to use physical force. Instead, she's using pressure tactics. Wrong way to behave; cruel verging on criminal.
