Hello folks!

After walking away from this game back when the ending problems were first coming to light, I have since come back thanks to the great ending remake mod.  I have purchased Leviathan and the Citidel DLC and was wondering, where in the game should I begin these?

Thanks!

Citadel is a very meta, goofy parody kind of DLC. I suggest playing it after playing the entire game, reloading your last save, and playing it through. because honestly, it is a very unique one and is a send off to the series.

Leviathan I suggest after Thessia or Before it. Though it is a bit glitchy, the Prothean AI does not acknowledge that you know of the Catalyst or anything learned in the DLC, so I suggest doing it after Thessia, gives you a good motivation anyway to find a "Reaper Killer".

Omega if you get it, I suggest after the Citadel Coup.

Keep in mind, Leviathan can be done bit by bit, so you can really decide on that one.

From Ashes - I did this after Palaven. Leviathan any time after from ashes. Omega whenever you want. Citadel after you have bumped in to all of the characters again, Im not there yet but i plan on doing this last before the point of no return which is the last cerberus mission.

I would suggest spreading out Leviathan over the game, taking one mission after each story arch and finishing post Thessia. Having that element of continually learning more about the Reapers throughout the game is something I think makes the story more immersive.

Leviatahn is bbroken into 3 pieces you can play anytime you want and do anything else from theb main game in between. I would only advise to play the 3rd, final Leviathan mission after Thessia (makes most sense story wise). And as GranbarrQ said, spreading Levithanab throughout the whole game will feel natural. But you could just do it all after Thessia.

Citadel - I would do the main storyline after the Coup (just do this 1 tiny mission to pick up Tali that takes palce before actual big Geth/Quarian missions to have full team). Then you will have the bonus Citadle content and areas unlocked for the entire second part of the game. You will be able to go to Armax combat simulator whenever you feel like, play mini games, and gradually invite characters to apartement or hang out with them in Sunset strip area. Should feel very natural. Throw party at the end, right before Cerberus Headquarters mission to have maximum number of people invited.

Citadel should be done after the Horizon Sanctuary level, *If Miranda is already dead then it doesn't matter*

really it doesnt matter, you can do the main arc of Citadel, just don't do the party and hangout arcs until after Horizon.

Leviathan is probably better to do after Citadel but it's broken up so you can do them whenever, and Omega can be at any time it's available. you can't even bring squadmates in Omega

Maybe the post-story content, but if you do the main-story Citadel part right after the Coyp, then you will have Armax Arena and minigames/apartement unlocked throughout entire second part of the game, so IMO it would be the best to finish main Citadel story right after the Coup

I usually do my DLC in this order:
From Ashes: First mission after Priority: Palaven
Omega: After the Citadel Coup - before Priority: Geth Dreadnought but after Gellix: Ex Cerberus Scientists and random Citadel missions
Leviathan: A bit tricky, this one. I have the first meeting with Bryson before the coup - just before Priority: Sur'Kesh. I rescue Garneau after that. I then put it on hold until after Thessia, and then go all-out
Citadel: Again, tricky. I do the main "meat" storyline just after Priority: Rannoch (the Normandy did get shot at, after all). I then do the random encounters as the story progresses. I don't have the party until just before Priority: Cerberus HQ, though

Yeah Citadel can be hard to decide on... at least IMO. I think I'd rather not do it TOO close to the end cause that is how I played it the first time and I started to find out that I had missed character interactions by not spending enough time on the strip, so I started to feel kinda rushed before the Cronos mission(along with GR if you care about that)

From Ashes after Palaven
Omega after Coup attempt
Citadel after Rannoch (I did this so I could have Tali there. Also seems like a good time for the Normandy to be fixed.)
Leviathan after Thessia (I know it's seperated into 3 parts, I just think it flows better if you do all the Leviathan missions in a row.)
Citadel party before attack on Cerberus. (Feels like a good moment for everyone to say goodbye... also Miranda can be there for the party now.)

EDIT: Everyone seems to have similar ideas :D

Yep, I'm with you on this one.

But to the original poster whatever order you do the DLCs in I suggest doing citadel and leviathan after you've locked in your romance option if you have one. To me it makes those two dlcs more interesting (and I've done the citadel dlc through to the party without locking in a love interest and things just got creepy lol)
