Hi I just bought the game for the PC and when i first started playing i in the woods i noticed that the trees kept flashing, one moment it would be there, then the next moment it would be gone. and.. my graphics arent as great as they said it would be, and I lagg alot during gameplay.. could this be because i need to get a graphic card or something? and if so, whats the best kind i can get?

I believe you may find that "blinking" is a common enough video driver conflict seen and dealt with by others here through going back a couple of releases' worth of Geforce drivers. Search would tell you, I believe (I don't have any current Geforce VGA in a game-capable PC right now).
P. S. Now that I can probably get one relatively cheaply on eBay (as people upgrade from nVIDIA to Radeons, at least it's probably those for right now, until Fermis is out at the end of March), their 8800 GTs are showing up in large numbers. I've just not been quick enough to snipe one at a price I'll accept, given it's for experimentation only; all I have to do is continue being patient, however.

Downgrade didn't work, the only difference was lower fps.

wow looks like more people have the same issue than i thought. After reading squ1z's post i figured hey, hes probably just a retard trying to act like hes helping but in fact hes going to make my comp crash....well i boosted graphics to max on all three bars and low and behold ; it didnt work lol. so i moved the graphic detail to nill and left the texture detail and the anti-aliasing to max. also have frame buffering off.
just thought i would post what works best for me...mind you its definetly not what i expected to see from all the reviews and ****.
