Ugh, to most of these. Gross, and definitely walk away from most of these. Sorry.

A pick-up line or chat-up line is a conversation opener with the intent of engaging an unfamiliar person for romance, or dating. Overt and sometimes humorous displays of romantic interest, pick-up lines advertise the wit of their speakers to their target listeners.

That shouldn't -- in my life philosophy -- mean 'let's go have sex right now' -- it should mean that you're attracted to the person, and you'd like to get to know them better, so you want them to give you a chance, right?

So, Chirmu was sweet, Hierophant was spot on with the game, Sirus1988 was hilarious -- couldn't help but laugh,...but no. DaerogtheDhampir, that was nice. Fortlowe made me smile, but you'd better really be Cullen, or it's a walk away. The rest,...it's a walk away.

How about: "Your hand looks heavy. Could I hold it for you?"
Or: "I want to flirt, but could I tempt you with my awkwardness first?" Bleah, out of practice, I've been married a long time.

Also, relax. What works on one person will earn you a slap from another. That's part of the charm.  One guy actually made a mass effect pass at me in a bar once. A regular bar! It lost much in translation, but I still gave him an A for effort.
