Eh, it's their stuff, they can use it if they want. But, I do get annoyed when someone will ready up in a gold or plat lobby with me WITHOUT any equipment. Come on now, at least toss on some L1's, especially if everyone else is rocking equipment.

Simply because they can and want the match to be/go easier/faster.
To tell you the truth, I usually don't even use any consumable even on platinum. So, according to your resoning, everybody should stop using consumables...

I use my level 1 stuff all the time. Sometimes even level 2 . Gold I use lvl 2-3. Platinum lvl 3-4.

Can't defray the cost of use with a subsequent pack purchase, unless it's just trash level I equipment.  Though really, I have the same problem on gold with level III-IV equipment.  Essentially, only level I-II stuff is worth using on gold and below, because the higher level stuff is simply unsustainably expensive.

Sure, I mean that's fine. I hardly play platinum for example.  I'm not talking about skill level, it's just that using level III-IV equipment ends up being unsustainable in the long run because the chance of getting the proper equipment for any given build in the RNG store is really low.  Level IV equipment because it's really expensive and level III equipment because there's like 20 uncommon cards after you've maxed uncommon mods/gears/weapons.

I don't use level 1 stuff (or even level 2 of some items) in gold+. I sometimes use the "not very useful" stuff in silver.

I have a crapload of level 1 stuff that I got from all the recruit packs I bought for the N7 challenge.

I'll use them even on bronze because I can and IDGAF.

I used to not use equipment on Silver, but when I got to the point where I had 255 of everything, I might as well just use them. Some of my friends, I know have more than enough level III's and IV's.

Also, what's the use of accumulating all that crap in your inventory. Got a friend who won't use equipment on Gold, and then wonder why the rest of us outscore him.

There isn't an issue using level 1 or 2 on silver. Just some forum heroes being badasses in a videgame who don't need to use equipment apparently.

If they have no care or future plans to step into gold or plat, then why not? Some players may have more equips than they know what to do w/, or at least certain slots of them anyways.

I even use level IV ammo in my Bronze solos. I have 100+ level IV Cryo Ammo, which I never use in Gold/Platinum.
