On my TSol I take at least Lv1 AP rounds, always. My Saber is equipped with a thermal scope and clip capacity mod, and my Eagle is equipped with a heavy barrel and clip capacity mod.

About the Saber: Scope because I honestly feel I need it to aim properly because of reticle bloom and there aren't any sniper rifles quite like it, and clip mod because... well, have you seen what Marksman does to the Saber? It's wicked. I like to capitalize on that.

I use lvl 1 and 2 equipment on silver, save lvl 3 and higher for gold.

Almost 1,000 hours of gameplay, I have more equipment than I will ever need! Hell, I throw on equipment for bronze games if I just go in to die on wave 1 to finish a power challenge at 99%!

If someone is farting around for challenges like say trying to get 200K with a Disciple, they might as well use up a Shotty Amp 1 is they have 80 of them... does it hurt you? Do you feel embarrassed being outscored by someone in silver with equipment?

I always use some type of equipment...for me for the most part it's always level V shield booster, and i may use a level 1 or 2 ammo mod.(especially if it's collectors or geth) I just don't feel right if i look over in those boxes over there and see them empty...

I have tons of level 1 and seemingly inexhaustible amounts of level 4 cryo and disruptor.

If you started out playing very "cheap" (ie. not using equipment) you'll likely have saved up enough to put yourself in a position to have more than enough. Is there any real "need" to using equipment in Silver? No, but so long as its never your excuse (that you wasted them in Silver) for Gold/Platinum matches, I dont see a problem.

At least you know when you see someone using equipment in Silver they're planning to extract... or they really suck (one of the two).

see i can understand people new using equipment and the people who have a crap load of equipment but when you start now you get the gift pack with the op characters and they still use rockets and medi-gels on silver it useless because you cant get all that back if your going for the new items. so i really dont know. but if you want to see equipment wasters play without retaliation dlc installed it funny because they waste medi-gels when ur right next to them and they all suck at the game cause they drop like flies on bronze.

I've been using equipment in all 3 slots since last summer. My stock keeps growing nonetheless.

Since both experiments and dev commentary have confirmed that equipment past 255 will just vanish into the ether anyway, I see no reason not to.

Because I's and II's aren't going to do anything to help my scrubby ass on gold I wouldn't use III's on silver though.

I have several hundred lvl II items. When I play silver, I use them.

I only Silver to lvl up characters to take them into higher levels.

So if I have any lvl 1 equipment I will throw it on, also I have so many lvl 3 Explosive rounds, and lvl 4 Cryo rounds I will throw those on too, just because, I wil never burn threw them.

So why not?

because if i played 1000 games without buying packs, i still wouldnt run out of ammo powers, what the hell am i saving them for?

I've seen people using level 3 ammo and equipment on bronze :|

and yeah I use sometimes level 1 items on silver (on chars I do not like to play much )

Even though not as frequent as before, there still seems to be the bug where you ask for level X and you get Y.  Say, I ask bronze with my level 4 Asari adept and I get silver.  I ask Gold, I get bronze.  It could be something like that.

Why not? What else am I gonna do with lv. 1 / 2 stuff? or 3/4 for stuff like cryo/disrupter.

Also, it's there to be used and I don't gain anything by hoarding it.

Exactly. After a certain point, equipment pretty much piles up everwhere around you. Might as well use when you play. What else are you gonna save it for?

I honestly don't get where you people get so much equipment. All I buy are high level packs and I have no level 1 stuff of anything. Honestly I don't get how so many of you invest so much time into the multiplayer where equipment is a non-issue for you.

Just do a session, save up money and at the end of that session, spend it all on JEPs in the beginning to avoid equipment issues.
