when i did my first playthrough i wasnt really harsh to elves..but i though they wined alot... but i JUST finished the city elf playthrough and after seeing that i just feel awful for elves..seroisly i hate the humans now.

Not all humans, but some of them do, yes. Worse than animals. Their dogs certainly get better treatment. And far more treat them like second class citizens.

Well they consider them inferior and pretty much non existant. Just there to serve and please them. Pretty sure they treat animals better

Yes I really liked the Dalish origin. One of the reasons was that I played the city elf one first, and seeing how docile and inferior the city elves were. Then I play the Dalish origin and Tamlen doesn't flinch twice when I decided to kill the humans, it even seemed like he wanted me to say that. It's actually one of the reasons he's my favorite origin companion, a bad ass elf, not many of those in ferelden.

Yeah, while I didn't like the way that the Dalish origin was played out in some places, the story behind them and the tamlen appearances later on are so awesome xD

I killed only one of them.  But god, PC and tamlen are the two biggest BAMFs in the game.

Yeah, the Dalish are just as "racist" against humans as the humans are against elves, maybe more so. Heck, the Dalish were snarling at my "city-born" elven Circle-mage even.



Very realistic. And yeah, when I played the Dalish opening, I killed one of them to make the point.

That's one of the things that makes Dragon Age stand out from the crowd of the "tall aloof immortal elves that always look the other races like they were kids" high fantasy stpries. I can only congratulate Bioware and the writers for that. It's quite masterful.

Racism, brutality and servitude are part of every fantasy world with a little of depth. It's refreshing to see things mixed up like this.
