I picked Destory so it's no big deal for me. Love the DLC, shame it's the end.

Out of curiosity, Auld Wolf, are you Bizarro Rifneno? You have the exact same manner but the exact opposite opinions.

Rifneno may have had harsh posts, but never did such association fallacies. If we're talking about the same person (with the polecat avatar)

Synthesis seriously creeped me out to begin with, this DLC is just a better reason why headcanoning Destroy/Refuse (Puzzle Theory) works for me.

So Synthesis is necessary. People need that boost. They need that upgrade. They need to be able to understand things both emotionally and intellectually. They need to be able to relate, to empathise, to put themselves in the shoes of other people. It's the one thing humanity desperately needs. I've always had a feeling that that was the case, but Mass Effect proves it. Apparently there's always going to be a non-trivial amount of people who aren't intelligent enough to have full emotional maturity otherwise, who can't empathise, who can't feel for other people.

The simple truth is is that we need to fix them. They need to be fixed. And in my canon, they are fixed (thank goodness).

BirdsallSa? Is that you?

Destroy pre-EC Because only good reaper is a deap reaper.
Destroy post EC Reapers Need to die
Destroy post Citadel DLC because Destroy is the only true option for Commander Shepard and Rest of the galaxy. Shepard 1- reapers 0

Also this.

I find the idea of any ending where Harbinger is still walking around and Shepard is dead to be... horrible. That reads too much as a failure for me.

My overall issue with Synthesis is the fact that the husks, the reaper forces come back to consciousness and basically have to live like that for god knows how long since they're merged with life and synthetic. Saving EDI is a interesting idea to give her "real" life" but the millions of reaper forces... Destroy for me because the reapers can't be trusted control or synth - life to them is a mathematical equation and unless someone else offers them a different variable, there's no changing their minds.

they're synthetics who destroyed their makers and harvested their genetic codes as an archive. An you want to merge with that? So disturbing on so many levels.

Synthesis turned me off the moment The Star kid said the words Final Evolution...

A machine should never, start his pitch with an oxymoron.

No this DLC didn't disenchant me with synthesis. I already didn't like it. And I don't like those infernal death machines hanging around as a reminder either. So they've got to go.

Nope, disliked Synthesis since Day 1.

Oh and BTW I understand why people like and choose it, I just personally feel like it does not belong in Mass Effect.

I always liked the Collectors. I plan on keeping them around and improving them in Control, first to remove the "inherent contempt" in their design, so that they don't break down over time.

But more seriously, I see no horror in your image, despite what you tried to get across.

Yep. I always found Synthesis to be, well, ominous? We've shown that peace is possible within our diversity, so why go by Reaper ideology to try and enforce homogenization?

Synthesis would allow for greater chance for continued and reinforced peace.

I chose Synthesis mainly
To give my LI Tali a future for her people living alongside the Geth without a fear of generation bred technophobia leading to a second uprising.
