The plot is... "light", to say the least. Basically, you have a ship crash and start working for a merchant group that seeks to expand its operations in Samarach and the Sword Coast.
It's intended for a newly created party, which will level up to 4 at the start. There are many possible combinations, but if you're unsure, a classic party works well: a scout type (make this the first one), a warrior type, a healer type, and a mage type. You'll be able to recruit up to two henchmen (one if you lack the feat Leadership; anyone in your party can take it).
My personal favourite party is probably something like: ranger/rogue (scout, archer), cleric (or similar; healer and melee), warlock (blasting, infinite party buffs like Flee the Scene), and bard (inspirations, melee).
Your party is workable, but if you want to stick with it, I'd suggest recruiting the druid henchman in the first city, and a warrior or caster type henchman (depending on which one you're lacking) once you have the opportunity.

My favorite party combination is this:
Paladin (face) or Fighter. Rogue/Swash/SD. Cleric or Favored Soul (prefer FS). Sorcerer.
Then I would get the Druid and a Warlock or Bard.
The Druid can fill many roles and it's always good to have. Tank, summoner, blaster, healer, buffer.
The Warlock could fill the archer/blaster role and the Bard provides you with unlimited buffs or regeneration.

There is more of a plot than is indicated here, but since it's meant to be a mystery/conspiracy, it would be a big spoiler to tell you what it is. You start to get an indication once you go to investigate one of Sa'sani's missing associates.
