I would like to understand why the Grey Warden in question had to be a new one. Why not just any Grey Warden?
Which one is closer to DAO canon? Morrigan conducting the ritual or being refused?
What happens to the possibility of freeing an old god if Morrigan was refused?
Have the devs said anywhere what the purpose of that inserting that plan was?
Have any of the devs said anywhere why they made Flemeth so cryptic and hard to understand?

Because the taint isn't nearly as strong in a new one.
Conducting the ceremony more than likely since you can cont. your PC and Alistair is King (in all likelyhood)
That I can't answer, I would assume there was no possibility if it was a Grey Warden that slain the Arch Demon
What plot are you referring too?
Not that I've seen but to add a little flavor and an air of mystery would be my guess

1. the taint is still fresh. actually, the younger the better(fitness wise i guess)
2. either or. they are actually both canon.
3. not to likely, considering the taint was what got you killed.
4. not to my knowledge, sorry.
5. uh, comic relief?
