I tested both on Geth and I had much better results with the GPR than the GSF. Am I just imagining this?

Pretty sure they've already stated the spitfire will be getting a buff. See how it handles then. =/

GPR:
1. Stack headshot modifiers.
2. Aim at head.
3. ???
4. Profit.

GSF
1. Hit nothing.
2. Move slowly.
3. ???
4. ...

Yeah, unless BioWare decides to change this announced 10% buff to 30% buff, I'm not taking it from the wall.

Didn't the devs say they were pretty happy overall with its damage output, and the 10% planned tune-up should help it compete against armor? Trollololol?

Sidenote: Anyone have an updated weapon stat spreadsheet for reckoning weapons?

Basicallty the GPR has a x3 modifier headshot modifier and its so accurate that headshots are easy.

The spitfire is slightly less than 2xtimes as powerful as the GPR so a spitfire is weaker than a headshotting GPR.

So yes in most cases the GPR is more powerful.

Haven't tried Spitfia on Gold, yet, but it wouldn't surprise me.

A spitfire on gold is like chucking frozen peas at the enemy. As it stands, it's currently worthless.

This thread is full of it.
Seriously, though, it's like exaggeration is innate trait of BSN.

My GSP is only a V, but I would always take the GPR over the GSP now regardless of the actual stats.

No exaggeration in my post ...the GPS really does outperform the spitfire in most cases....maths doesnt exaggerate.

Some times yes exaggeration is rampant here, but in the case of the Spitfire's effectiveness it's pretty much spot on accuracte.  It's a terrible weapon.  It has more cons than pros, fails to really stand out compared to the likes of the Typhoon and Particle Rifle, and on top of that is incredibly hard to get a hold of.

It is a well known style for people making see your point. And to throw in my 2 cents:

Frozen Peas aren´t quite describing the firepowr of the spitfire. It is more like wet noodles.

Geth don't understand the concept of spitting hence why their Spitfire sucks.

I only used the Geth Spitfire once. My subjective impression was that it causes slightly more damage than a GPR. But it is clearly miles away from justifying the excessive weight of this weapon.

In all later games if you used either the N7 Typhon or the PPR on the Geth Juggernaut.

When I first got the Spitfire, I thought It was going to be one of the best assault rifles. Plus I am a sucker for any type of minigun weapon. When I used it with the Juggernaut I was very disappointed when it took all day just to kill a husk. Guess I'll just stick with the Adas and go geth prime on everyone using it to stun-lock them.

Even with a 10% buff, GPR > Spitfire.

It's a suppression mechanic in a game that doesn't really boast one.

Look at Cyonan's wepon damage chart the Spitfire clearly outperforms the GPR mathamaticlly.

Now if you are talking about whether it's worth it, that's different. Weight, ramp up time, recoil and slowing of movement speed, those aspects. Yeah the Spitfire has some serious drawbacks, which make it significanty outclassed by weapons like the PPR on anything but the Juggernaut.

My opinion on the GSF, if you're going to use it on anything other than a Juggernaut, just don't.

Put it on a drell vanguard. Maximise movement speed. Bc them mow them down. This is not a good tactic on gold but it is funny. Prepare to be revived allot with friends/not revived with pugs.
