Seriously guys this could be huge....

The council archives contains the first contact the asari had with the citadel and meeting the keepers...

BUT THE CITADEL SHOWN HAS NO PRESIDIUM TOWER!!!

Was it built after the Asari arrived on the Citadel? What the hell could this mean in relation to the decision chamber and the Catlayst? im hoping it isnt just a mistake but an actual clue to something.... thoughts guys...?

i havent got a picture or found one online yet... but if someone has one please post it so people can it...
i always thought the presdium tower looked a bit odd/out of place compared to the rest the the citadel.. like an extension on a house...

Hmm, without it in front of me, does Shepard's mini Citadel (same on as on the Galaxy Map) have the tower? If it doesn't, it could mean the holo in the archive is just that model enlarged.

Not to mention Saren had to get there to activate the Citadel relay...

Sigh. I really wish BW started to double check things before going ahead.

it could have been built later to incorporate the catalysts plans for synthesis... the protheans cut off the signal.. so for 50,000 years the citadel and keepers were alone/independant... who knows what they got upto... but that tower being missing from the archives image makes alarm bells ring in my head..

just cant put it all together...

lore states that the Keepers builds anything citadel, so missing structures would fall upon them, not Asari. I don't think there is any lore that points toward others controlling what the keepers do on that. I didn't see any thing like that in the DLC myself, but played through rather fast, so I probably missed it.

All in all, it's a non event, but I've not played through to the ending to see any effective contribution from the DLC regarding the endings?

I'll say no, but they probably took the credit for it anyway.

They might have.

I imagine in the 2,000 or so years that the Citadel has been occupied that all of resident species have added it to and have dome some construction of their own.

Kind of like Omega.

Well, the crucible is set to interact with something on the base of the tower, so no, it'd have to be there all along. Also, Avina states in ME1 that the control mechanisms for the citadel are probably inside the tower (which is why there are so many keepers there) and no one can acces this or knows much about it.
Probably just a mistake in the hologram.
This scene is weird anyway because the ship theAsari arrive in looks like the Destiny Ascension (it's huge!!!). I doubt they'd have had ships like that so early in their space flight age.

Is the tower in the hologram of Sovereign's attack?

Since when are those sort of holograms exact replicas anyway? They look more like dramatic re-enactments than anything else.

You'd think the holograms to the Council's biggest secrets would have better production values. The council must really not GAF.

Seriously, all games have mistakes.

If we are nitpicking little graphical details, in ME3's Presidium Commons before the coup attempt, there is already broken glass on the floor in front of the CSec office. Also in some of the other floors above the hospital, the bridge that is huerta memorial hospital is completely missing (such as looking out over the presidium on the floor that has the Purgatory bar)

All it'd take is adding a dong(le) to the model, not that difficult to add.

I couldn't be the only one who outright laughed at the krogan hologram, I imagined "Ring around the Rosie" playing in the background

Yeah, it isn't there, but from what I can tell (I can't get a good angle the entry turns with you when you move and it's at a crappy angle) the one in the Battle of the Citadel archive doesn't have it either. Besides it doesn't make sense that the Asari would have built it anyway. In ME1 Garrus mentions that the Keepers always ignored the Relay Monument/Conduit but AVINA (I think) tells us there were always more Keepers hanging out in the Tower than anywhere else. Implying that the Keepers ignored the Conduit because it wasn't orginal to station and if the Tower was an add on by the Asari they would ignore it too, but they don't.

it's the last DLC and content for ME3....not the only place it's missing...

it doesn't mean anything..stop grasping for straws that aren't even there

I don't really get how the Citadel is specifically designed for bipedal species around 5-6ft tall, what if the current apex race were gigantic tentacled blobs who couldn't fit through the doors?

And for that matter, were all the buildings on the Citadel already there, or did the Asari build them?

Both holograms don't have the tower, the asari did not make the tower, there is no plotholes at all here. Stop nitpicking at things that are simply not important.

Wait..doesn't Liara have random dialogue in ME1 about the aesthetic values of the Protheans, while in the Council chambers? I think it was when running up all those steps past the trees.

If so scratch what I said earlier about the Asari possibly constructing the Presidium Tower.

I think she says that when you walk past the Relay Monument. I think she mentions the aesthetic value of the Mass Relays. Wait... or was that Tali?

Also in ME1 the Council Chambers map looks like a Reaper. Why would the Asari do that?
