It doesn't appear that there is a way to respec your ME2 squadmates on the Normandy, nor in the Arena. Does this mean that we only get to level up their skill tree once per Citadel playthrough?

Yup.

I believe you can do so though on the PC. (Unsure, I'm a console player).

I wish they, and Wrex, did not come with some of the abilities already spent. That bugs me sooo much.

Also, as far as I know, you still can't respec Javik either.

^ This so much - I wish I could respect Wrex without his Stimulant Pack power, since that power seems to be bugged during the Citadel Archives mission where he'll activate it over and over until he has no more Stim. Packs or Lift Grenades (since they're tied together).

^ Is that why Wrex seems to eat through grenades? I was wondering what that was all about

Yep, that's exactly the reason why - his supply of Lift Grenades are tied into his supply of Stimulant Packs, so the bug that causes him to active a Stim. Pack repeatedly drains his grenade supply as well.

EDIT: If someone knows how to respec squadmates powers and how to unspec the power to be unpurchased using Gibbed, would you mind posting how you do it?

Yeah, it seems the ME2 characters are missing one point (compared to ME3 squadmates) otherwise they wouldn't need a respec to maxed out 4 powers and Wrex has that stim pack glitch (even with the restriction to only use passives).

Does it also appear that the ME2 chars have less points to spend? Iirc they come with first 3 of each powers but you can't max out four while for ME3 chars I can max out 4 with the last one having the first 3 ranks.

Well that's troubling that there seems to be no possible fix aside from going into the game files (and the way to do that isn't even clear).

When you say we can do it on PC, are you talking about save editing with Gibbed? I think that might work for Wrex. I am not sure about for the others since you can't ever have them in your squad when you can create a save...

It's a shame that BW apparently didn't think to include a respec option. I was very excited to be able to use Wrex and ME2 squaddies in the arena, but I'd really like to be able to respec all or most of them. :(

Ol' thread, but seeing how this issue is here to stay.

One can access other ME2-crew's skills once you've run with them through the sim once, they'll show up in Squad/Henchmen.

Editing point-allocation that way doesn't appear to take effect at all, though. They'll always reset to the base 3/3/3/3-setup they start off with. In the case of Wrex, neither removing Stim Pack, resetting to 0 nor replacing that power with some other altogether would work.

Yeah, it sucks you can't re-spec their abilities. That's why you have to make your decisions final when first speccing them. I believe it's Bioware's fault for not allowing that on Javik and ME2 squadmates including Wrex as well. It's also Bioware's fault for being 1 pt short on level up points.

You can't respect them, but it never bothered me though.

You know how fun it is to play the simulation mission with 2 krogan in squad? xD hahah it still makes me laugh even when I think about it. xD

Wait a moment. I sense the lingering traces of dark PC magic.

Console Commands. This is impossible on Consoles unless Hax! But I don't know how to toy with consoles though. It appears Bioware miscalculated the points, so every Citadel Squademate is one point less. All you need to do here is add talent points to allow Squadmates to max out all of their powers. For Shepard, however, without tweaks to the coalesce.bin file, the game will always reset Shepard's powers should you try and max out all of Shepard's powers.
