Yes, it fixes it and all the DLC's are playable. The only noticable difference in SP is that fire explosions only happen when an enemy dies.Eterna5 wrote...
Does removing the latest patch fix the issues and allow you to play the dlc fine?
CITADEL DLC/latest patch causing horrible glitches that effectively ruin certain scenes

Patch 1.5 is causing the issues correct? or is it 1.4? Removing 1.5 shouldn't affect fire explosions.

It seems that patches and DLCs share the same file, and if I delete it I would need to download all the DLCs again, (The Citadel alone took me 10 hours...)

She had never seen the romance scene, a scene that was so emotional, and the scene you look forward to when completing your romance, and it was completely ruined.
I don't know if my own game has been messed up, and frankly, I don't know if I wanna know.
It was a upsetting, a lot money was spent, and the experience was ruined. :/
I really hope this gets patched. I really do

Anyone else out there who still wouldn't mind at least a "Shut up! We're not fixing this" response from someone important here?

People play for lots of reasons but It effectively wrecks MY game.. making all the time I played it a waste of my time and money.

I suppose it is easier to ignore us and hope we will go away. I can't imagine this not hurting the image of the company though. It certainly will discourage me from buying games again from them if they don't fix such a nasty issue.

These days it seems people rather abandon the game as fast as possible then try to fix it. Just look at the whole Call of Duty and FIFA/Madden annual releases we get. Remember when it took time between sequals? Before game developers started to copy cat the idiotic FIFA annual release BS?
Kick out the game as soon as possible to not have to do anything with it. MONEY MONEY MONEY! No care for the product or the damn customers!

Thank you, Andreas Shepard, for asking about this at the event you attended. I don't know what to make of what you wrote. Is what they said at the event "official?" Can we pretty much count this as something that won't be fixed?
ViridityJemina, have you had any luck trying to contact someone through the channel you were working (EA customer support, higher level help)?
Has anybody tried to PM someone here (Mr. Gamble, Mr. Priestly or maybe Jessica Merizan)? I don't know if PMing even works, but if we haven't tried and there's a chance this might work, I'm willing to give it a go.
Are the folks who MATTER (who can fix this or at least answer our question) even aware of this? Has anyone at Bioware viewed the video I put together a few weeks back (URL I posted upthread).
I want to do more, but I don't know what to do outside of what I've already contributed. Who can I talk to, who will at least answer my (our) question? Leaving us hanging like this is not cool - especially considering the money we spent on this trilogy over the past few years. And (at least for me) there's the emotional investment I have in the story, in the characters (I expect many, if not most, ME fans share this sentiment wholeheartedly). It's one of the trilogy's greatest draws, what keeps us coming back for more.
And Winterfly, I feel your pain, my friend.
I second ViridityJemina's *raises hand* - even if we get a "no" answer, at least we would get an answer and this would be put to rest.

I haven't had a chance to sit down and call customer support again yet: I got railroaded with final assignments and exams so I haven't had the time. :/ I do plan on calling them still, it just might not happen until my exams are over at the end of month, unfortunately. They closed my ticket while I was distracted with school, but noted I can refer back to it if I wanted to, so rest assured I WILL dothat once I have time to take a breath

I just PM'd Chris Priestly, Michael Gamble and Jessica Merizan about this - referencing this thread, the EA Answers thread JonMan21 created and the YouTube video I posted a few weeks back. I don't know if I (we) will get an answer, but I thought I'd try...

The whole dialogue scenes were completely un-syncronized with the charaters lips everytime they spoke. Ruined the whole scene.

I don't want or need the patch. I don't multiplay at all. But it seems that I got it anyway somehow when I installed the game and downloaded the extended version. So where the heck is it so I can delete it? I did a search of my machine and I can't find the file. Please help.
Unfortunately I play on console, so I can't help you, but have you tried checking the EA Ask forums, Answer HQ? There should be a link at the top of the page.

I have. I have searched for two weeks now. If there is a file that I can remove on PC I have not found the name of it yet. Please if anyone knows I would appreciate the information. Thanks!
Have you looked at these instructions? I know it's for MP dlc, but maybe you can find patches under it as well? http://social.biowar...ndex/14423855/1

Either say, "yes, we're working to fix this" or "we're done and are moving on."
I hope you get a patch out, but I'd appreciate any kind of response here.

I play on Xbox, so I cleared the system cache, and deleted the title update. I still have all the DLC downloaded.
The problem's gone, and the scene's working perfectly now.
I wish BioWare would address the problem and fix the patch, but that seems unlikely.
When there's no profit in it, don't expect them to do anything about it.
Good luck to anyone else having this problem.
