Oh my god, that last Kaidan picture is both terrifying and hilarious at the same time.

I hope so man... before announcing that it was the last patch, couldnt they have tested out before throwing it online? Be nice to have a patch that actually fixes the game... rather then break it. They should have called it a "tear"... Tear 1.05, enjoy!!

I just wish that - if they aren't going to fix it - there was a way to REVERT a patch back to v1.04 (rather than deleting the patches altogether - which is currently the only thing you can do - and this prevents you from being able to login to Xbox Live and use MP).

Liara doesn't have such problems.

Someone just said on page 3 that it happened on their Liara playthrough.  Maybe there are some people out there lucky enough to not have this happen but it's affecting a large enough number of players that something should be done about it.

all the bugs have been happening to my playthroughs aswell. ive noticed upon loading a saved game there is this black fade screen whats also started happening. it isn't game breaking but irritating that it never used to happen

A few things I've noticed after I downloaded Patch 1.05 for Xbox 360 (this happened before the Citadel DLC was released)...

1. A lip syncing issue during the romance scene with Liara. It occurs after Shep's final dream sequence, when he wakes up with Liara in his arms. The audio doesn't match the video until Shep is given the option to respond (paragon in this example) "I hope everyone is ready" and Liara says "You don't need to worry about that. You rallied who you could." And one of his eyes were white as he got up and touched Liara's shoulder (just before Liara asks "You can't sleep?").

2. A very minor thing (not a game breaker to be sure, but I wonder if others may have noticed this). There's a slight video delay when using the elevator on the Normandy. It is taking longer than it did before for the video to fade in from black after the load screen (it happens on all decks onboard the Normandy).

this to be precise..it also happened to me using the citadel elevator too.

I don't know if anyone else has had a glitch like this...

I played through the entire DLC and main quest, all the way to the Cerberus base.
Almost half of the character interactions never appeared.
The events with Tali, Ashley, Kasumi, Wrex, James, and Samara didn't come up for me.

I've tried everything I can think of - really don't know what to do about it except play through the DLC again.

Did this happen with anyone else? Am I missing something here?

I've just uploaded a video example to YouTube of the glitch I've experienced since Patch 1.05 was installed (what the scene was like before Patch 1.05 and how it plays out now).  I described this upthread earlier today...

This is not quite as dramatic as the screenshots shared by AndreasShepard at the beginning of this thread (Kaiden/Male Shep Romance) - but it does show in no uncertain terms how this scene has been affected in my playthroughs...

(Posted video URL at Answer HQ (to follow up what I wrote there earlier today...)

I fervently hope they will fix this...

Yeah... I dont recall paying full price for this game plus every piece of DLC for this kind of thing to happen... I mean, mistakes happen, but not testing your patch then saying theres no more support in the works to fix ME3 is a joke... I didnt ask for my favorite scenes to be screwed up.

This makes me worried about buying the DLC (as it requires going online). Is it possible to play Citadel DLC without patching past the update back when Omega came out? Like buy and download it from the marketplace on the PSN or Xbox store without accessing the disk while online, and then disconnecting the internet cord from my 360 to intentionally not get the .05 patch after installing the DLC?

...Or does the DLC need that patch to even be usable?

I'm curious if people who are having this problem are loading game files that were started pre-patch?

Or would that not make a difference.

Honestly i have no idea, the patch notes (found here: social.bioware.com/page/me3-patches) suggest that patch 1.05 "Fixed an issue with high memory usage when initializing DLCs". Could that just mean reducing load times for the DLC? If so, then i guess it's possible that you could play the Citadel DLC without needing to patch to 1.05, but you won't be able to connect you xbox/ps3 to the internet while playing the game.

Looking at the patch notes, the majority of the fixes appear to be for multiplayer. While a few, such as the "issue with Ken/Gabby and Tali/Garrus ambient dialogues not triggering in Normandy engineering", which was fixed in patch 1.04, was also fixed with the Extended Cut. So you could just delete the patch data from your system (which will delete all patches), and you shouldn't notice a huge difference in the game, as long as you have the EC installed.

But there are some other minor issues that will effect your game if you do delete the patches from your system. Such as the Leviathan DLC Weapon Mods not carrying over to New Game +, and the Particle Rifle replenishing ammo from ammo boxes. But, like i said, these are minor issues when compared to the issues that will occur in your game if you keep patch 1.05 installed.

If you do try to play the Citadel DLC with either patch 1.04 (so you don't update to 1.05), or if you just delete all patch data from your system, do tell us if you can actually still play the Citadel DLC!

@Barnzy

Well the thing I'm worried about is that sometimes DLC isn't even allowed to be played until you install certain patches. Like the developers made it so that the DLC isn't even accessible until you're up to date on patches.

I had that happen with a game recently and I re-installed DLC I deleted for that game a while ago, but the DLC add-on wasn't even on the opening menu (which is where it was meant to be found for that DLC) until I accessed the game while online and saw that there was a new patch. When I last played that DLC, no patch was needed past what I had. Come back months later, the DLC had been set to need a more up-to-date patch to let me access it again. I'm worried the same will be true for the Citadel DLC, where the game won't even be looking for the DLC data to let me access it until I have the most recent patch that causes these glitches.

To sum that up quicker, I'm worried that Bioware made it so that the most recent patch is needed to play the Citadel DLC even if the patch itself doesn't really have anything to do with the DLC. They do that intentionally so that you MUST be up to date on their patches before they let you play the DLC you bought and paid for. Want to play their add-on? Better have the latest patch, or you're forbidden.

So I'm asking... Does the Citadel DLC have that going for it about the .05 patch?

It's not whining to want something you payed for work the way it's supposed to.  Quit trolling.

I wouldn't be surprised if they never fixed this. They never fixed the audio sync issues some(in some cases all) PS3 ME2 players had, and even made them worse when they released a patch to reduce load times.

If this patch reduces load times as well, then that might be why the audio is having sync problems?

I've noticed these issues before the dlc was released. Deleting the updates fixed the problem. So it might be the last patch that messed things up, or even going as back as downloading Omega? I don't know.

How does one delete updates on the Xbox? I've never had to before.

I believe clearing your xbox system cache will delete game updates. This should tell you how to do it:
support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/clear-system-cache

Edit: if you do try this, please tell us if it resolves the issue for you!

Clearing the cache can often mean you have to redownload all downloads you've done for all games.  It happened to me-I had an issue with ME3, cleared the cache and started playing MP.  I wondered why certain maps weren't showing up and it was because I had to redownload the map packs.  And then I had to redownload patches and DLC for all my other games.

Could people PM Chris Priestly (or tweet him this link) so he's aware of the issue and can pass it along to the team?

Even if they don't have the resources to *fix* these bugs from Patch 1.05 -- at the *very* least, they should figure out a way to at least provide the option for us to revert to the already-existing 1.04 patch so that we can have non-broken versions of the game.

I'm so glad I never get these glitches. 'Cause I can just sit back and laugh like Joker imagining Shepard dancing.

Ok, I'll bite.  Exactly what would you call a glitch?  In the game you only get a limited number of scenes with the characters and especially the LI.  If Kaiden is your LI and his head is twisting around, the lip sync is off, his eyes are rolling back in his head, then that's the very definition of a glitch.  Can't tell if you're joking, but I hope so.

The thing is if you go to the tech help site (the EA answer zone or whatever it's called) you can see there are some issue the patch caused that involved DLC not even working for some people-that had to be fixed by EA on the server side.  That is of real concern because there were problems with DLC before that seemed to be server related, which begs the question what happens when the servers go dead or all support goes away.  That's another topic.

They had this head twisting problem in ME3 from the beginning with other characters at different times and they only partly fixed it.  Same with eyes rolling back-in my game, Shepard still has both when talking to Liara a couple times.  And in a lot of places, things are just invisible or not there that should be there.  In other places people fly out of the scene, not as bad as Aria in Omega, but similar to that.  Never fixed.

I hope they fix this issue but it shows just how bad patches can be-for every thing they fix, they often break something else.

Somehow the "fixed an issue with high memory usage initializing DLCs" fix is what's screwing this up, since it's clear now the patch is to blame and not Citadel.

i do hope they decide to give it a last patch which fixes not only lip animations dialogue problems but others too like the U turning heads, getting stuck near joker, elevator loads black fade. giving it this one last patch will make it feel polished like me2 without introducing more bugs hopefully.

also the coup stand off with the council and VS i noticed a squadmate glitch where you just see a background where a squadmate should be, this also happens when helping jacob if you take garrus or tali. he recognizes them but then you don't see garrus or tali just hear/see the dialogue and that same background again if that makes sense
