When I played a male character, my attempt to romance Leliana went perfectly. However when I try it with a female character, the romance started but certain key events never happened. I never got the dialogue options to ask her about being a bard which triggers the Majorline side quest. As a result my female character never completed the romance. Even the dialogue options at the end was different.
So is there anything different about completing the romance with a female character?

Yes, but it shouldn't affect Marjolaine. Female pcs must choose the following dialogue option when it comes up early on - and it'll only come up once - 'so do you often enjoy the company of other women'.

I did chose this option when it came up and the romance did start and was the same for a while. But after a while it stalled out. I never got the invitation to sleep with Leliana but all the other dialogue happened. I noticed that I only got her affection rating only up to 97 at the end. Is it just getting it to 100 that is needed?
