I would've said that banning would be unfair for a mistake on the devs' end. But then the post said 2400. Burn them.Battlepope190 wrote...
So they're not being banned? What a shame...

Just a quick note that we will be cleaning up the accounts of those player that abused the commendation pack glitch last week. Don't worry if you only openned a handfull you'll be fine but there were some extreme cases that need to be dealt with (2400?! Seriously?!). We're going to be removing the Reckoning kits and Commendation weapons from these accounts.

You can open that one. We got two this week because Bioware loves uskobayashi-maru wrote...
Can I just confirm something. When I loaded new dlc got gift pack. Went and played Citadel all week and just doing new challenge now but have another gift pack in store. Is this glitch or not?

Did I read this right? You're saying that one single individual opened 2400 gift packs?!

So, you're letting people keep the weapons if they "only" opened a "handful"? Should probably give that handful out to everybody then...

You got another gift pack this week, and oppurtunity to get up to 3 weapons this weeks challenge

You can not use that argument in this case because CmnDwnWrkn is saying everyone should get more weapons, there is no way to explictly exclude the people that abused this.lfc19titles wrote...

what about the people who abused the glitch, did they also get the 3 packs this week? if so that still makes it unfair

wait, why are the people who opened a handful not having their weapons downgraded? how is that far, they basically got like 4 extra packed n7 upgrades compared to a normal player...

It's not the first time this has happened, same thing with comm packs very, very early on. And they let players keep those guns if they only opened a few. You could make an argument that someone might open a few without knowing they weren't supposed to. But 2400?
And how many of those players missed some operations over time? I don't care if they get to keep them, power to them for having a little higher promos. But that 2400 guy....(I'm really mystified by the time it would take to do that)

So the message is it's cool to take advantage of glitches if you do so in moderation? Maybe you'll even gain a fresh bounty of n7 weaponry if you're lucky?
