Hmm, was there supposed to be a pack for the Insanity challenge? I finished the Normal version through Platinum matches, which of course meant I finished Insanity too at the same time. Only one commendation pack. (really? Two gift packs this week? I only received one?).

If the page doesn't give you an "oops, there is a problem with your rewards" kind of message right away, refresh the page, refresh again, go to your N7HQ home page, then go back to the link, refresh again and after all that, if the "oops" message is there, click on the link to fix it and your pack should be waiting in the store.

If none of that works, PM Bryan Johnson, he can help you straighten it out when he gets back to work on Monday (or he might even make the magic happen this weekend).

Bryan and the 'gang' are NOT like that.  They are not out to abuse power or throw their weight around.  Think of them more as the Lone Ranger trying to keep it fair and even for everyone.  I've needed their help several times, and they've even taken personal time to help fix issues, such as broken Spectre Mastery.

However, seeing Nathan (NPlewes) involved means that it went up the chain a little bit.  Playing ME1 and seeing his name in the credits at the end did make me smile a bit.  Continuity, you know?

Please don't think of the Mass Effect MP team as some thugs out to 'collect' on unpaid debts from a pool shark or some mess.  They are human just like we are.  But they are good people - I cannot say the same for all of us.  Like sitting there for 6-10 hours clicking packs thinking that everything is working 'as intended'.  Who is taking advantage of who here?  Its a glitch!  Someone getting ALL of the promo weapons in one day is a bit.....  unfair, don't you think?  I earned all of mine and had a lot of fun getting them.  Well, everyone should earn them, not glitch surf for them.

I don't think they are bad people but the store system sucks and has for a year. With all of the glitches in the game why only fix the ones that give players a bit of an advantage yet leave in things like the Vanguard glitch or the glitch i randomly get where i have to heavy melee in order to shoot my gun or use powers again? How many times did they nerf sabotage the n7 destroyer or the acolyte without once fixing these other issues to make the game work right? I am all for fairness and balance but part of that fairness and balance means making sure something isn't glitched before releasing it and not just fixing the glitches that put you as a company at a disadvantage.

really seems somewhat overblown response to such a trivial issue.

I do not condone cheating in any form, but compared to things like the rocket glitch which ruined many players' experiences for months, this is specifically a reward glitch on virtual, useless items that does not give anyone any advantage in a match. sure some moron abused it to the nth degree, but most people here seem to have seen something that could have been genuine and either realised too late, or realised and carried on anyway in the hope of maxing a weapon they may have wanted for whatever reason from day 1.

What is galling about this is that the RNG system is still screwed up for a lot of people, and still not fixed (can't damage the revenue streams) even while more serious and pressing glitches are still apparent (since the last dlc i now load into matches and cannot see enemies etc - and then lose all my equipment when i leave said match). I've lost time and real money this way and who cares? Not BW because you'd rather reset a few people who got their useless crusader maxed out. O but there are people i reported for actually cheating in-game still playing. great.

Sure we're not dealing with bans here but surely an all-or-nothing stance should have been taken - either ban everyone who did it, or just leave it as an unfortunate anniversary gift - this middle-ground stance isn't fair or just for anyone directly affected or not.

speaking of Commidation packs, looks like i won't be receiving my Second Commidation Pack as i have given up and admit that the Collectors are Problematic (Yesss), i have had three attempts on Silver with a band of randoms and....

every 9th wave the Collectors completely elimate me and my band of randoms and with this i have deleted the Retaliation pack (which contains the Collectors faction), cause to be honest..."F" that noise.....i have given my best of my abilites and my band of randoms arn't able to complete the mission on Silver against the Collectors and this is not an offer to help me but more-so of me admitting that the Collectors are Problematic (Yessss)

Beware you still need to reset the guys who have got away with a few. Just remove 3 -5 promo levels because at the moment a few cheaters got away with extra promo weapons

this has nothing to do with this thread.  there are plenty of people helping lesser players complete the challenge in threads.  make a thread asking for help

I'm glad they took away the extra weapons people got. IV played over 800 hours on mp, n spent the last 3 days helpin low levels get there platinum operation and enjoyed doin it but was losin my rag with all the people braggin about there hurricane X they had got in ten minutes.its took me months to get my hurricane X legit!!! Rant over lol

I opened one, Then remembering reading this thread. Now back into the store again and yes, you guessed it another two are waiting for me. Not sure what to do. The obvious answer is not to open anymore.

EDIT: Bought a Prem Specter crate and my credits didn't decrease on purchase

Like NPLewes said, last week there was a major glitch in the store, whereas a few people that didn't redeem the gift pack they've been previously awarded after the Reckoning DLC pack release (that was supposed to include a Reckoning character kit to jumpstart the challenge), could keep redeeming gift packs because they kept respawning over and over.

I, for example, opened around 8 of them and got only promo weapons and no Reckoning kit, then I stopped and went to the BSN to check what was going on and found about the issue.
Now BioWare reset the promo weapons for all people who abused the glitch by opening more than a set amount of packs (the threshold hasn't been specified so far) and (re)allotted a set amount of commendation and gift packs corresponding to how many challenges people have completed after the Retaliation Pack release.

The issue now is that people like me, who have been playing the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer for a year, have been completing challegens (and earning Commendation Packs) before October 10, 2012, and it appears that BioWare hasn't taken those challenges in account, effectively punishing us more than we effectively deserve.


To the couple of "tough guys" who've come here despising people "whining about their punishment": good job kids, you don't need help in ridiculing yourselves.

I don't believe everyone visits the forums and thus knows what is intended and what is unintended and even here it takes time before things are noted.

well i only had 1 gift and 2 commendations from completing the week challenge.. wish i had even 1 or 2 extras still need the new krogan but meh ill just do a few platenhams tonight and prey to the rng gods

So I opened about 20 of the reappearing gift packs - I thought that since ME3 had its last patch that weekend challenges were 'ending' and this was to give anyone still playing (or new players) those weapons. I was totally wrong. I didn't open 2400 packs.. they gave me 13 commendation packs back (automatically I think during the reset)... but I had received 29 commendation packs through the course of the last year (1731 games played, 592 hours spent)
I would like to get the packs that I earned back.... Yes it was a glitch, It was abused by some.
I didn't mean to abuse it (and realized it was a glitch when my son didn't get the same results)

(actually if you add in gift packs etc It should probably be more like 34 packs..)  

I hope this can be fixed.  I have lost millions of credits and massive experience where it just vanishes when you enter the store or end the match (at least since july you could 75% of the time get them back by fully exiting and reentering...)

Either way - i can't say i didn't get my moneys worth... but it is frustrating to play something for a year and then lose it.  I would have rather had my account reset to where it was at pre-glitch.

I would(probably) never mess with it. A few of you might remember the glitched victory pack a few mounths back that broke multiplayer for a few days, that was the lesson to me on not the mess with glicthes (I did not know it was one at the time either).
