Superblaze: I'm going to be critical here and try to not sound like a dick in doing so... take this info for what you will.

The biggest issue you had when we played... is that you didn't kill anything/didn't kill fast enough. Your Krogan Sentinel with a Mattock III and a Predator X just isn't going to cut it in Platinum. You need DPS. You need to bring weapons that actually make stuff die.

Learn the way of the Infiltrator. If you don't like Infiltrators... well... too bad. They are the kings/queens of making things dead... having +80% damage to your weapons/powers from cloak has that effect. You next best option after that are classes with Arc or Inferno Grenades.

Also... don't ever bring Explosive ammo to any Gold+ game as it is crap and does nothing for you.

Here's another major critique... YOU stay with the team. I spent several medi-gels/ops trying to run across the level to res you... and it ended up hurting me in the long run b/c I could've used those later. There were several times the other three players were attacking a spawn, and "Squadmember Needs Help!" comes through the speakers... I turn around and you're literally on the other side of the level attacking Platinum Collector spawns with the above loadout.

One thing you did remarkably well... was use rockets. You used them at very appropriate times.

So... basically... run classes/weapons that kill faster and stay close to the actual killers in the party.

I'll be on a little bit tonight... but I have quite a lot on my plate this evening, non ME3 related stuff.

PUGs aren't that bad. It's probably you. Even checked your manifest, and it doesn't look like you're ready for plat. I played a few plat matches with 2 PUGs and a friend today. 1 of them even left during wave 9. Plat is fairly easy when you know what you're doing and you do enough damage of course..

Op, there are plenty of people helping others with this, and if you had waited the 10 minutes or so for Mega and I to finish helping someone else the other night, you would have already had this done and saved us all from this thread. If you want help, go post in one of those threads, don't moan about others, and take advantage of this surge in community spirit, because it won't last forever.

It's probably a combination of the two.

I doubt you're less ready than me for platinum matches, but I didn't have a problem doing the challenge and I played every game in pugs. (Failed just the very first one because I forgot to set gear/equipment and got straight into a game. I should of just left to let someone else fill).

I knew I couldn't be very helpful damage or being "good" (I miss my target when trying to shoot a gun like 70% of the time lol) so I picked the volus in each of my games. I just focused on keeping everyone topped up on the shields and let them do the damage. :).

If someone died it was because I wasn't near them, or on the collectors because I didn't stasis an abomination in time and it blew up in our faces lol.

Idk maybe I am completly wrong and people who play plat will correct me and say I did nothing lol, but even though i/you don't have weapons or gear that makes you do damage in plat I still felt useful. I think you should try the volus. (Unless people who knowplat say I did absolutely zero to help -_-).

He's my favorite class by far lol.

I'm gonna respectfully disagree. people who aren't good enough to play on a diffuclty sholnd't take a volus. Its not helping if you aren't doing damage IMO.

Idk I had a hurricane IV + the amour piercing rounds so I was doing some damage, but it was only 100% consistant on the bosses lol. It's not the lvl 7-10 weapon damage that most people on my team had, but it was still noticeable when me and someone else had to duo a level after two people got sync killed.

Huriicane is a great wepaon. i've done many a platinum speed runs with my hurricane 4 prior to retaliation but did it using a GI. i know your shield boositng seems liek yoru helping, but most people would rather have a teammate that kills stuff so the game goes quicker

umm he trolls purposly. yuou could have carreid him thorugh 10 platiinums and he'd still complain how you suck and were weighting him down:whistle:

I'm starting to wonder if it is actual trolling or something else. This hurts me...

he's either a bad troll or someone in need of serious mental help. either way IDK how he hasn't been banned form BSN. he got banned from the halo forums for a reason

In the Plat Collectors game... he was meleeing Possessed Abominations with a Krogan... like he was trying to get himself killed. My patience wore thin after that one.

EDIT**
on a sidenote during one of my platinnum runs for the challeneg on extraction i killed all 3 teammates with one PA by acident and revived all 3, then died lol. we still extracted easily but it was funny.

On purpose i found the krogan warlord is awesome for hammering PAs into teammates to kill them lol:innocent:

That sucks. I had a great Platinum PUG experience last night. Opened a lobby that filled in minutes and ended up with four players that all used equipment and mostly held their own. Went 4/4 in my first real shot at Platinum and came I'm second in each match to a damn impressive Claymore AIU in each game. Maybe you just got bad PUGs. I had to drop out of a few Rio lobbies initially. Ironically on Unknown/Cerby, we ended up on Rio.

A lot of bad players don't recognize another bad player's bad loadout... it's not as easy as [X][X][X].

Finding a plat lobby full of competent players takes longer than the actual game when you find one.

I do not bother PUGging on Platinum since the clear majority are there to farm on Rio.

So a few BSNers tried to help you for the challenge, so you decided to troll them? That is pathetic.

I know lol, but I thought since I knew I was not ready for plat (I only did it because of the operation) it would be better if I didn't run around and try kill things with suboptimal gear and weapons + mechanics of playing.

I figured doing that would only get me killed, and bait my team into trying to revive me and ending with a failed mission. I thought since I'll never plat again I'll just do what I know I can do. I am trying to say I know damage is better lol, but when you know you don't have the skill to do damage, it is probably better to give utility.

In any game I'd prefrer to damage, and my teammates to do damage, but 100% over that I would rather not die (or have someone die) over and over because their mechanics are bad even though they have damage.

I am very bad at describing what I want to say but I think I finally got it lol. That's why I think op should try the volus.

It's best to just start a lobby with a friend, and give every player that is using a load out not suited for plat [x][x].

Also great loadout=/=great player.  I can't tell you how many Harrier TGIs, Raider AIUs, and Javelin GIs I've seen face plant.

what you should do is kick those who dont use any equipment bonuses
Ive seen quite a few schmucks in the lobby without any equipment not even the gear bonus which is permanent then they usually leave before the end of the first wave. I mean whats the point in joining the game in the first place?

I wouldn't hate these crutch classes nearly as much if they were. It's an illusion that scrubs fall for.

Harrier TGI gets an instant kick 9/10ths of the time from me. 9/10 of them suck.
