I know that the Arishok is male.

So this is a What If question.

So my question is this.

If they allowed femles to be Arishok do you think what happened in Kirkwall would have been the same?

Keep it clean people and be respectful.

Discussion is now open.

Probably. They all had a role they were chosen for so I think they would have picked a female who had the same mindset as the male.

I can understand that.

Do you think that they should/would of taken a difftent aproach in finding the book?

Like sending out more to surch for it or the one who stole it.

Oh sure, a female Arishok would have changed a lot. Instead of taunting Hawke over the inevitable victory of the qunari, she would have made fun of Hawke for being fat.

Seriously, this question boils down to "would an entirely different person do things in an entirely different way?" At best, all I can say is "sure, maybe." But I don't really see why a female Arishok would change much, aside from the implications for the rest of qunari society.

The Arishok came to Kirkwall looking for a book. When he could not find the book, he tried taking over. Standard procedure for the qunari, really.

Nah, she would be exchanging beauty and hair care tips with Hawke and Merril

j/k I don't see anything significantly different on a female arishok. She'd be Qunari after all

What about the response of Hawke telling the Arishok about the elf laying bame at the Qunari's feet?

Also I thank females have more patience then males. I also think that females tend to be more level headed.

Why not ask Hawke for help?

He did it once out of calling it a warning. It was more then a warning. It was respect for what Hawke accomplished over time.

What was so diffrent?

I think it wasn't just because of the Qun. I think it was more about his image getting damaged. We know that the Qun demanded the book to be returned.
Yes he did get all hell bent about it. When he says Me alone will recover the book.
Yet when it comes down to it. If you kill him another Qunari has the task of returning the book. So what happened to Me alone?

Glad that you all are giving input into this.

Please keep on talking I do want to know all your views on this.
And thank you for your time.

Discussion still open.....

yes even though its obvious a female in the Quanri could never be Arishok if they could the situation would be the same because they all follow the Qun a certain path and I'm sure all the Airshoks would take the same path as they are all united in an ideology which I can respect

The Arishok seemed to be quite level-headed; it was only when things escalated so quickly that his hand was forced did the fecal excrement hit the ventral oscillating wind distributor. I figure that a female Arishok would be of similar "stock" as it were.

Can't really say, we have yet to see much of their culture and they don't let women in the Antaam(the army) she probably would have been similar to the Arishok that was present in Kirkwall.
