Tali said something like, "Awwww. I never get picked!"
I actually rotate all of my squadmates out and use them more or less equally, so Tali did get used on missions. But I guess she must have ended up being used slightly less than others.

I'm not even sure if it's best to let Ash tag along on the Normandy or spread her own wings and get ready for the Specre work on her own! Two spectres saving the galaxy shoudl be better than one having the other locked down in the ship.. If I could send her on side missions then it would be less of a problem.

What about Wrex? Why would he go first then? Unless I used Garrus and Tali THAT much....
It's the one time you get to fight alongside your old friend, and you don't pick him? Of course Wrex's feelings are going to be hurt.
I had to pick Wrex just for that one reason.
And yes, I used Garrus a lot, not every mission but still on enough mission's and he was the first to speak and it sounded like he thought he would be the obvious pick seeing as Shepard picks him so often. And Ash said she never get's picked or whatever she said. And yeah, on my infiltrator playthroughs I usualy pick garrus and a biotic or engineer. I also tend to shift in some of the least played squadmates for the N7 missions.
Just to let them be able to say they went on missions with "The Shepard"

Liara sounded so cute with her "I really wanted to go." I take her and Ash on every mission though, i wanted to roll with Wrex for old times sake.

Garrus said he wanted to go. Liara complained that she never gets picked. It was easy for me to figure out the formula when I saw that.

Strange, Javik and EDI complain about me not picking them even though they're the ones I used the most.
Hmmm, if that's true, it would be a bug. The first person to speak should be the squadmate who you've used the most outside of the ones you've already picked for the current squad. The second one should be the person you used the least. I just peeked at the logic, and it looks good, so I bet in your game, you must have picked other squadmates as much or more than one of EDI or Javik.
The one counter to that rule is if you have Wrex alive but didn't pick him, he'll complain first. Then the least used person will speak up.
Also, out of curiosity...was this system also used to determine who was on the comm with you at the beginning of the DLC? For me it was Garrus, who was my LI, and Tali, whom I took with me almost everywhere. I've seen combinations of others and wondered what affected it besides LI status, but it'd make sense if it used this system.

That would make a lot of sense. The two talking during the rescue were Garrus (LI) and James, who were also my most used according to the 'getting picked' dialogue.AlphaDormante wrote...

That might be the case. Maybe it is just a matter of being used less by virtue of being late to the party.

James got the never get picked line for me. Actually might make me give the poor soul a runout.

James is good. Spec him for weapons and carnage and he is pretty powerful. Give him a good assault rifle and don't worry about the shotgun. Go lightweight on that. Then he recharges faster and you get carnage a lot. ME3 really is a shooter at its core. So you need the best shooter you have. Even with my adept, I was shooting a lot and picking the best bouns power I could get - was dominate or flare.

When I played no LI I got Liara. When I played Garrus as a LI I got him. I think LI might come first because they would want to be there to help.
I wish the dialogue from the squad wasn't sooo muffled. I could barely hear Garrus and he didn't sound like him. I could hear liara better so it might just be an issue with the game.

Second playthrough: took Garrus and Tali.
EDI complained about never getting picked both times. I thought it was hilarious.
Probably; I got Tali and Garrus on the comm both times too (although who was first and who was second switched between my ManShep and FemShep).AlphaDormante wrote...
