Edit: I got it working now, looks so awesome!

My goal was to get a helmetless Spirit armour, what I got was a helmetless Nightmare armour with Spirit stats...

Good
enough and to do it you will need the Mass Effect 3 Coalesced editor.
Open it and find your coalesced (make a backup though)

Follow this path: biogame -> sfxgame -> sfxplayercustomization -> fullbodyapperances.

Go to the last empty line and paste this:

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMM_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL",
Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R.DLC.FBDj.HMF_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL"
,bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom_Powers"),
Id=14,Name=813580,Description=813581,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)

Then go to the empty line below that and paste this:

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMM_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL",
Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMF_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL"),
GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom_Powers"),
Id=15,Name=813580,Description=813581,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)

After that go to fullbodyhelmetapperances and go to the last empty line and paste this:

(Mesh=(Male="biog_hmm_hgr_shp_r.FBDh.HMM_HGR_FBDh_MDL",
Female="BIOG_HMF_HGR_SHP_R.FBDh.HMF_HGR_FBDh_MDL",
bHasBreather=True,bHideHair=True,bHideHead=True),Id=12,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet)

Note:
that this doesn't remove the helmet from the armour itself, this adds
another copy of the armour to your list, except this new copy doesn't
have the helmet, so do a little searching in your armoury ;)

Edit: This
would probably work for people who want the female version without a
helmet too, I wouldn't know since my Shep is always the default male.

Original post: Not sure if this is really the right section for this but none of the others seemed right either soooo. :whistle:

I've been trying to remove the helmet from the Spirit Armour but so far I've had:

1: Sort of what I wanted but with the weapon oriented version stats, no description and a name like $805341 or something.

2: Game crashes

3: Armour turns into N7 Defender armour.

:(

When i've been trying this i've follwed this guide:
Select Biogame.ini then sfxgame.
Scroll down until you find the sfxplayercustomization section.
 At
this point you need to pay a close attention to the instruction because
the Coalesced file is very sensitive and any wrong move could harm your
game.
 Select the fullybodyapperance section. At the bottom, add these lines: (Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R.FBDi.HMM_SHP_FBDi_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R.FBDi.HMF_SHP_FBDi_MDL",bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_CON_APP01.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_CerberusHeavy"),Id=1000,PlotFlag=21752,Name=803158,Name=803158,Description=803924,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)
(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R.FBDi.HMM_SHP_FBDi_NH_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R.FBDi.HMF_SHP_FBDi_NH_MDL"),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_CON_APP01.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_CerberusHeavy"),Id=1001,Name=803158,Description=803924,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)
 Don’t add any extra line even
if it were empty, if you by mistake added a line, you can deleted it by
clicking the right mouse button and select delete value
Now, to the helmet.
Select the fullbodyhelmetappearance and add this line at the buttom:
 Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R.FBDi.HMM_HGR_FBDi_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R.FBDi.HMF_HGR_FBDi_MDL",bHasBreather=True,bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),Id=1000,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet) Save your changes by clicking on file from the top bar.And that's it.
And using these codes:

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMM_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMF_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL"),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom_Weapons"),Id=113,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Name=813580,Description=813581)

But I really can't get this to work so i'm asking if anyone here with experience in this area could wrtie down exactly what needs so go into the coalesced, as in copied and pasted. I would be very, very grateful, very.

:D

Reason for wanting this is because i'm trying to get Shepard in Kai Leng's armour, I have the texture sorted but not the helmet :unsure:

I know this doesn't help, but if anyone knows the player variables for these armors, I would appreciate you posting them. I don't have the DLC yet (not enough HD space) but I don't want to have to wait until the end of a playthrough to use it.

Player variables, bool IDs, w/e I don't remember which armor are. Its been a while since I used the save editor.

You got the code wrong, it should look like this:

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMM_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL",
Female="BIOG_HMF_SHP_FBD_R_DLC.FBDj.HMF_SHP_FBDj_NH_MDL"),GameEffects
("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom_Weapons"),
Id=113,Name=813580,Description=813581,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)

I see, so now that we have the right code. How do i apply it to get a helmetless copy of the Spirit armour?

I can't get the code to work at all. I put the information in the right place but still shows the helmet. I got the nightmare to work but how do I get it to work on the shade and spirit armor?

I don't know how to create a helmetless Spirit or Shade armour, but what you can do is change Phantom_Weapons to Phantom_Powers. The armour will still have the original name, Nightmare etc but will have the stats of the Spirit. Not sure what to do for the Shade.

If you don't mind my asking could you post the mesh codes you used for the nightmare?

I don't know, Phantom_Weapons was already there. I guessed that the Spirit armour would be Phantoms_Powers......but I have no idea what the Shade would be....Wepers......Powons? Eh.

I don't know if i'm allowed to give you the exact texture since it's Smarteck's work. I can however tell you how to do this yourself.

You'll need:

Texmod
opentpf
Smarteck's Kai Leng HD texture

Run texmod with ME3 and extract the Spirit, Nightmare, Shade etc texture.
Download the HD texture and find use opentpf to extract the images. Find which one is Kai Leng's and rename it to
MASSEFFECT3.EXE_0xFC4B849C
and make sure that you make this change in the Texlog.
After that build the package and run ME3 with it.

Well I found a big bug with the helmetless armor for the coalesced. When you leave you apartment and try and do some othe missions on the galaxy map. Your whole body will disappears and you become completely invisable and cna't use or play with your character unless have a previous save to change back to previous armor.:crying:

To get the shade stats its just SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom. You leave off the _Weapons or _Powers

I'd love to know that too. All I'm getting with my female Shepard is two more copies of the Defender armour.
