Back when, when it became apparent that there was no way to get ME3 without Origin, I made the decision to not purchase a copy of ME3, despite having enjoyed the first two games in the series (and having purchased most of the DLC).  I've already lost multipplayer games I enjoy due to authentication servers being shut down (both by companies still in business and those not), and I have no interest in purchasing single-player games that will suffer the same fate.

I said then that I'd be back a year after the game released, to see if there was a way to play it on the PC that didn't require the Origin software and a connection to Origin (not interested in cracks, thanks).  I looked a few pages back and did a quick search both here and in the ME3 forums (I apparently can't post there because I haven't played a game with my Origin account), but didn't see an answer to that, which doesn't bode well.

Would someone in the know please answer the question of whether it is possible to legitimately play ME3 without the Origin software and a connection to the Origin servers?

Thanks for the info. Its too bad, I would have liked to have played the game.

You didn't miss anything. I still prefer ME2.
