If you wish to drop DAO down to the task bar while you do something else,ALT-TAB,I found that if you pause the game to do so,there is often an interminable loading screen when you put it back up and the game won't load.
However,if you go to the save game screen and do the same there is no problem.
Just thought this might help someone!

Also, and this is a purely aesthetic thing, but if you dont like running around with blood-splattered armour on, just go to your inventory page, take off the breastplate then put it back on. Presto, a nice shiny clean set of armour :0)

Actually, that never happened to me... Thank for sharing nonehteless, it sounds like a helpful trick.

...but ..but the gory mess is one of things I like the best about this game, why would anyone want to have it licked off?? 
(as I'm playing a mage thank the Maker for the walking bomb spell that's all I can say
