 So! Being this is my first forum post - I'm a little nervous to see how the ME community reacts to questions. I've researched this topic multiple times, but I'm not exactly happy with the answers the internet has provided. Okay. 

I've begun a completely new line-up with a new character, starting allllllll the way back at ME1. But - I've never completed ME3 (mostly because I only bought the trilogy a month ago) and I'm really apprehensive about the choices in endings. I think - or so game guides have told me - you have to have a certain amount of EMS (around 4,000+, I believe) to get the "perfect" ending, correct? And in that "perfect" ending you have three choices: Destroy, Control, and Synthesis. 

At first, I was all "yay, everyone gets along". Theeeeen I saw they weren't really themselves because they were forced to adopt a synthetic look on life. Plus - the Reapers are still alive. Then control! Well, the Reapers are still alive there too... But Destroy apparently kills Geth and EDI while also destroying the Reapers. And I like the Geth. And I like EDI. 

I'd like some thorough opinions if you have the time! I'll continue to look up answers myself, but I figured it would be nice to have a more... Personal (?) outlook from the ME community!

Ah yes, the "best ending." We have dismissed that claim
-used to be my sig right after release...

I am fairly certain it is only 3100 EMS now for the "best" ending.

I have always picked Destroy.
