I have been playing ME3MP for about a year. I mostly PUG. As anyone who plays PUG matches konws, you need some luck to extract in such macthes due to the lack of coordination. However recently after the introduction of Juggie, the success rate of PUGs has seemingly increased if there is one in your team.

I think the presence of a Juggie is comparable to the original Decoy. It gives you some breathing space. Enemies mostly flock around the Juggie and do not move much. This makes it very easy for the other players to take thme out from a distance. I mostly play Sniper infiltrators and enemies around the Juggie are easy to headhot (and with the right wepon, you could get multiplae kills in the same shot).

So what do you think? has this kit changed how the game is played?

yeah players can now hold the melee button every second and watch a tv show for 20 mins and then come back to extract on platinum.

Implying everyone who gets a Jugg instantly knows how to use it.

I see bad Juggs. Really bad ones.

Overexageration much?

Juggs are great, they do two things when specced and played at least psuedo properly.  CC and encourging pugs to focus fire.

However, a tank jugg is little more than hiderance against collector on Plat imo.  Praetorians can melee stagger so fast that jugg just ends up eating the dirt over and over and over again.  Not to  mention scion grenades and possed exploders

A half decent Jugg can change the game.

In the later half of matches weaker players will tend to get over run, forcing the team to do the run in circles while picking off enemies.

With the Jugg they can stay in one spot and camp basically, the entire game, as insta-kill units, like banshees that push us out, are unable to do anything tot he Jugg, and the team can just focus fire.

I tend to agree. I have only failed once to extract on gold with a Jugg. I play a tank version that supports and does not ever get above third place. I provide the room for others to kill the enemy. It is fun to watch biotic explosions and mines/grenades wipe out mobs around me.

A bad team is one who assumes the Jugg indestructible or useless. I used all my medigel etc. way too soon in that failed game. The team repeatedly ran off and left me to fight multiple phantoms and Dragoons alone. It took three of four waves but once I had to stay down, the team was wiped.

I have rarely seen a poor Jugg in a game; though it certainly happens. A decent team will always use a Jugg to their advantage; making extraction somewhat easier.

In a co-op game a team player's biggest danger comes from team mates who only think of themselves; a Geth Juggernaut is more at risk from this than most. My Jugger's best team mate so far was a Drell sniper who blew my opponents to pieces, sniped well and raced in under cloak to revive me; before racing back to position to kill more. Man did he score well!

Succesful Juggernauting requires to things:1) The Jugh knowing when to press forward, when to pull out of an area and where to bottleneck 2) His team being able to quickly deal with a boss mob. The Jugg is durable, the this platform is not an island

Agree!

Was in a Gold/geth/reactor last night.

One Jugg playing as a sniper plus two other Snipers (all using BW's) including myself (TGI with Incisor!)

The Jugg just acted as a bullet proof magnet drawing all the enemies in.  We just sniped from near the LZ, sounds dull, but it was really good fun.

It's thanks to Juggy that I topped the board as a Sniper in Gold for the 1st time :D  WIth an Incisor :o

Tip: Incisor X with Phasic ammo III is excellent against geth. Probably something to do with the multiple hits stripping shields (I'm sure one of the BSN nerds could explain it better ;) )

I finished several pugs with the Jugg on Platinum (Ghost,Giant,Dagger,Rio). I barely needed to use any consumables and there were pugs where i didnt need to use one simple consumable. Its really easy to play with a Juggernaut, but also very boring.

IMO a class like the jug and the voluses should have been in since launch. It the basic party structure of tank, healer and glass cannon. It's a shame it took a year for the devs to figure it out. As far as I'm concerned this class should have been the way a co op game was designed in the first place.

This game lacked a true tank character. It's two way street in a way that it makes the game more fun for the three other players, so if someone is willing to play the Jugg, I'm happy. With my skills I need to stick with the 3-4 crutch classes on gold/plat unless theres a Juggy on the team so it gives an opportunity for more variety.

Majority of jugg players are still rubbish, played with quite a few and only 1 was actually good partly because he understood the heavy melee is the most important factor for survival and loaded melee mods plus claymore shotgun.
They are essentially a decoy, a decoy that actually works and deals decent damage as well as keeping phantoms, dragoons, banshees etc at bay.

One things for sure, I would really struggle to complete the lodestar insanity challenge with pugs if it wasn't for the jugg and certainly makes platinum easier, well Firebase Giant anyway.

Geth Juggernaut bottlenecking inside a Justicars bubble. Even more damage resistance, and explosions going off all around him, pluss the bubbles damage bonus. Worked brilliantly!

A badly played Juggernaut goes down within seconds and is to slow to help the team with reviving or objectives.
Only the synergy with a Volus healing him and two heavy damge dealers that are protected from sync-killers realy shines.
A Juggernaut without help even has a hard time on extraction cause he can't take cover.

I believe it has, while true a newer player or one that hasn`t figured out this kit may not do that great, put it in the hands of a half decent player and it trivializes the hardest level we have, regardless of the faction.

Part of this games challenge (IMHO) is enemies that can sync kill, that is a big threat to a team and that threat should be dealt with at range, with a Juggy it simply doesn`t matter, he can deal with whatever comes his way with little threat, I just found it a bit strange a kit with the abilities he has was put into MP when it comes to balance.

I don`t use this kit very much, I find him desperate boring to play, the only exciting part is trying to make it back to the LZ.
From the start I did one gold run with friends then took him into platinum, I played the 10 extractions as I want to finish that banner, in platinum I had 6 of those games where I didn`t go down once, I can`t do that with any other kit which is what really made me wonder.

But it`s there to be played, he can-is a top score unit on a team as well, once again in the right hands.

Edit: just want to add as I see the comment often to pair him with a Volus to keep him alive, he doesn`t need a Volus, and the vast majority of Volus players I have come across are a liability to the team. If one takes the very short time to learn how to play this kit, it`s next to impossible even on a weak team to take him out.

I have used the juggernaut quite a bit since I unlocked him within the last week, mostely in silver matches for the durability, which only a vorcha w/max regen or a krogan can even come close to matching. It's very strong but it's not in invincible or extremely overpowering. Tried it twice in plat, both times the squad wiped by the third round. Even with it's durability if your squad keeps dropping you can't continue to absorb damage from scion's & praetorians for long, or ravagers brutes & banshees all at the same time. A decent squad is still required at the higher difficulties from my experience, and juggie's are almost worthless for reviving others who fall more than a few yards away due to the juggie's slow movement.

These comments are just my observations..

Durability - Nothing in this game can touch him, once again in the right hands, regardless of how weak the team is and yes I am talking platinum. A Krogan doesn`t come close to the durability of the AUI, TGI or even the Havoc.

Just my opinion.
