**PC ONLY** Would you be ok with a paid subscription to ORIGIN if it was buffed?

I'd pay NOT to have to deal with Origin.

I think if that was forced through it would be the death of E.A. - You buy the game once to play it - paying to have access to play After that? Would see a welcome resurge in CD/hardcopy sales
Bad Idea
and not from 'Bad Idea T-Shirts' either (google it).

I could have bored anyone who would read my comment with a rather longwinded response, but in favour for simplicity I will boil it down to the essentials as follows:
Lolno.

absolutely NOT.
1) That basically paying for DRM.
2) I already paid for the game.
3) Steam (which works fine for me, and I can tolerate the DRM) is free and works beautifully.
ON the other hand, I would pay an extra 10-15 bucks as a one time fee to NOT use origin lol!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Origin is substandard as a multiplayer platform, with a poor success rate connecting games and extremely basic functionality. Bugs are the rule rather than the exception. It's insulting enough that we have to deal with it to even play Mass Effect 3, but to pay for it? I'd be gutted, because I'd have to switch to PS3 to play the game and lose all my personal data.
I hope to the RNG of life that mandatory paid subscriptions for online access to a game never become an acceptable norm. The fact that this suggestion has shown up now, when EA has proven its complete ineptitude at handling large online communities with SimCity, is beyond laughable. Bad effort at trolling.

Good Lord NO! Not only won't I pay for that POS, if there were any justice in the world they'd pay US to use it...and still feel bad about producing such poorly written code.

The only reason I use Origin is because it's forced on me, by being attached to some games I bought.
The only scneario I can imagine paying for a subscription, would be if it allowed access, with no additional cost, to every game available on the platform. Even then, it would have to be a subscription of no more than 14€ a month!

Not to mention, what would happen if you bought a physical copy of a game? EA is using Origin as DRM. So if I paid $60 for a game, you're telling me I'd have to pay on top of that for a sub to play it? I just don't see that happening.
Basically this. I only buy dlc through origin, never entire games. I like having physical copies around and with my horrible connection it would take days do download whole games, dlc takes long enough as it is.
So no, I would not be ok with a paid subscription to origin, as I only use it because ME3 forces me to.
