PAY FOR ORIGIN?!

Are you out of your mind? Even if it was totally reliable, completely fixed, and offered all those extra features that would only make it PC-average. As in, the lowest and most basic STANDARD of what we expect. (Steam is essentially what you're suggesting and it's completely free)

Asking people to pay would be robbery.

QFT

And even though I do not play ME3 on PC I still play alot of other games on PC.

why in the flying fark would I pay for origin? I am basically forced to use it to play a couple of my favorite titles as they aren't available otherwise. For everything else I use steam.  Shouldn't have to pay for an app that you have no choice in using if you want to play certain games.

no, I don't mind paying for dlc but I already paid for this game once and don't want to keep paying to play.

NO!

I will never ever in my life, or in anything that comes after it, pay for the use of origin. Wich will mean as much as EA saying, "Thanks for buying the game.. now pay up some more, or otherwise we won't let you play it".

No, EA is greedy enough as it is.

And they would have to improve their server stability and ingame chat etc., before I would pay for anything like that.

Calm down everyone, the OP just asked a question. It is not as though he was clearly taking one position.

As for my answer, no. Like many have said, steam is a much superior service and is free. I would not pay for the distribution platform, if I then must also pay full price for the game.

True... if not for the fact that it is a completely stupid question and the OP has been here long enough to know what exactly we think of such things.

Well you managed to get some good responses from people. Judging from you "bump" I assume it's just to trollolol, but I imagine it started off as a semi-serious question.

I can't explain it well, but with xbox you are paying for.....wait, why are you paying? Steam pretty much does everything you need from a game client and you don't need no goofy apps because you use it on A COMPUTER. Also most games don't have servers run by the almighty overlords and they are run by individual people.

For example, this is what a server list looks like when you start up most MP games.

serious? steam is loads better and doesn't cost anything. EA screwed up by releasing this garbage. there's no reason for them to make us pay to fix it. origin is a joke

they could easily collect this money via game sales... if they had a platform available that i'd want to purchase games on
