I thought the same thing, what with the alienages and the 'no home' situation.
However, they are apparently better compared with Native Americans (who I know almost nothing about).

Edit: For the record, I do, occasionally, every so often, like to read a book, watch a movie, play a game, or listen to some music that is not actually trying to ram somebody's ideologies down my sodding throat.

Oh, seriously? Can't we have one sodding thing that isn't an analogue to someone's view on the real world? I really hope I never create a game or work of art or anything since I won't be able to sneeze without the entire bloody world divining some meaning from the pattern my snot makes on the hanky.
I thought entrails of some form were the accepted medium for divination, rather than snot.:innocent:

Really? Are you seriously this annoyed?

I draw these comparisons based on nothing but my own whimsy and they don't mean anything, just like every other thread that tries to force an imaginary world into a real one but you had all better take me seriously or I will cry.

Ah, comparisons conshmarisons... [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie]
er... anyway, people will draw comparisons where they will, it does
not all have to be deadly serious, and neither does it have to mean
that anything was based on anything. There's no use getting the 'ump
about it [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

Why? Were you afraid of British, or Jewish?
Yes, I also think Elves are Jewish.

Obtusifoliusiusiusius, yes dammit I'm dang furious! Outraged! Incensed, even! Nah not really. It's just I read, watch and play fantasy in all its forms partly because I don't have to deal with the "people in the west are evil" nonsense I have to deal with when stuff is set in the real world. All too often, an otherwise good movie (or book, or band) is dragged down by the need to pass on a *message*, which turns out to be absolute nonsense.
It'd be really nice if DA:O didn't have to go that way too.

Sometimes it is interesting to divine meaning and interpret things from another perspective.

Weeeell, I usually describe myself as British actually, mainly because it's a bit more PC, supposedly, and I don't particularly want to be seen as a patriotic English stick-in-the-mud

British are not Irish, but they are Jewish
Jewish are Elvish but Elvis is not Jewish
Dwarse are snrok, and humans are gargamel
Obtusifolius is British but not patriot
You see, it is very simple in fact.

Heh, I'm a pragmatic person really - a necessity for a programmer, but it means I have a really low BS tolerance. The real question is, if that's the case, what the hell am I doing on web forums?
