I'm from England, and I know people who use 'sodding' every second word, there are also people who use 'bloody' every second word.

Who do the people from the Anderfels represent?

I see the Orlesians as more French (I think Leliana's accent is French) and the Orlesian occupation (And the revolts against them) seem to be based on the Norman invasion in 1066.

The Fereldans seem to be mainly English, with a cross of cultures due to invasions of the past.

Orzammar has its own culture, and I am unsure what the dwarves seem to be based on. They seem to resemble the Vikings in attitude.

The Antivans do seem to be Venician, and, if Assassin's Creed 2 is anything to go by, they did once have assassin groups working amongst them. It is possible Zevran has the Spanish accent due to his travels, however, it could also be an indication that Antiva is also representative of Spain. Both places are warm in climate, as Zevran mentions.

I'm still wondering what Par Vollen and Seheron are based on. Sten says that there is the smell of tea, incense and it is warm. Everyone has their place in society and they do not appreciate women fighting in battle. They allow elves to rule if it is 'their place.' They are very military based if Sten is anything to go by. They have been split in two, the Qunari and the Tal'Vashoth. They are also considered to be very secretive. They don't have cookies either.

I'm also unsure who the elves represent. They seem to have American accents, so the Alienage's uprisings could be representative of 1960's protests, but is seems unlikely. However, the historical treatment of the elves could also represent the slave trade, the release of the elves from slavery even though they are still far from equal and then they protest for better rights.

If anyone could fill in the gaps I would be grateful, thank you!

Loghain only sold elves to Trevinter... He never killed them so he cannot be Hitler.

By the way not sure of your age, but this is not the kind of thing to joke or laugh about.

@Rvlion i personaly am not joking about it, and if you think about it, by retreating at Ostagar, he caused many lives to come to an end, and those included elves. so he is held liable for the deaths if u think about it. (im just odd though..) and i only laughed because of the irony of it all. in a way loghain is Similar to hitler, with the whole genocyde (sp?) bit. jw, whats age got to do with it? other than his somewhat atrocious spelling (err.. admittedly i talk like that sometimes and type like it when extremely annoyed. for the most part, most people wouldnt realize how young i am becuase of how i talk.)

@RaiKage14: While mentioning laugh in my reply I did not reference to your post directly, my reply was meant solely towards the person who made the post.

Elves = Jews -> Loghain = Hitler.
That is not a comparison that a sane grown person would make when fully aware of the tragidies that Hitler caused to not only Jews, but many minorities.

While I am not old enough to have experienced it first hand, but at least I can have the respect of "deleting the name from memory". Instead of throwing with it as if it is a normal thing to do.

While Loghain was a traitor and caused the deaths of many both directly (Soldiers and Wardens at Ostagart) and indirectly (All the razed and pillaged villages) by his betrayal, this comparison is out of line.

@Rvlion hmm i s'pose your right, im honestly not old enough to have even Heard much about it other than in history class and on tv, though truly i sometimes doubt my sanity level.. (its bad when you start arguing with yourself and loose... isn't it?) and i s'pose if one were to compare Loghain to Hitler for the elven situation... they would be compairing not only most of Ferelden to him, but even the cantry when they did there "Holy Exalted March" wouldn't they?

The Holy Exalted March I would personally compare to the "Holy Crusades" during the "Dark Medival Ages" about 750 to 900 years ago... Bringing the light of Christianity were now is darkness (or better yet force your will onto others and not to forget steal and pillage to get rich in the process). Watch the movie "Kingdom of Heaven" if you can and you will know what I mean considering it takes place during the Third Crusade.

While some Nations do seem to look like real life earth nations I would not dare to say races resemble certain countries.
