Question to the XBox owners who already have downloaded it: Does the "big" XBox patch come with it? Or just the one fixing the achievement issue? If it's indeed the big patch, what are the obvious fixes (Warden Commander's armor set, corrupted save games, portrait uploading to website...)?

Just checked.  Still no bonus for the Warden armour, so it wasn't the big patch

It's kind of amusing that we didn't get the big Xbox patch because it was so strongly tied to RtO (according to Bioware), and now we get RtO (even though it's probably not intentional) and not the patch.

Indeed.  I'm betting this was all caused by Microsoft QA/QC and ISO 7657673543 or some other number;  QSMs make work a little harder to do.:alien:

If MS did indeed release this early, alongside the patch, wouldn't they have left themselves open to a lawsuit?

They're probably changing their trousers at the moment. Someone has to speak up eventually.

Theoretically, maybe.

But would BioWare have the cajones to sue MS?  Especially  when they are a major customer/vendor?

Yeah, still no PC version available. I'd be a little ticked if we have to wait until tomorrow while Xbox gets it first.

This kowtow-ing to Microsoft for their console really has to stop. The more people are driven from PC gaming to consoles for the little things like this will mean the less development money that goes into PC games.

Maybe the xbox version was... you know... done first? or something?

I know it sounds crazy, but it may be true :o

All versions are the same.  PC, Xbox and PS3.  The only difference are the certifications they have to go through.
But hey, if you want your console's to be first always have at it.  When developers stop putting money into PC games and hardware companies stop pushing the envelope because people simply aren't buying the "biggest and best" anymore for their PC and your console hardware stagnates and your games become bland and boring, well serves you right.

Just finished playing through RTO on my xbox, no buggs encountered, other than temporary one that seemed to re-lock all my specializations.

It was quite fun, pretty short but worth the $5.

Hmm.. Cap. Crash... does my suggestion work on the console? I have no idea. It should work if the problem you faced was on the PC. =}

Lol, someones butthurt eh? You want them to delay everything so the other platforms can catch up? That makes no sense. There will always be PC gaming, ive got the game for my Xbox AND PC, gotta love modding.

Try to relax buddy, i'm sure it will be out for PC today.^_^

Any specializations there werent currently being used were showing as locked, though all my characters had already taken 2 (other than sten and the dog) it was like I had never unlocked them.

I saved my game, rebooted my xbox, and it went away.

Oh now, Mr. Holier-than-thou PC user,

It's a matter of economics.  Consoles are more cost efficient due to their mass-produced and spec-locked nature.  Developing for the PC is much harder because, instead of dealing with THREE video card configurations, you have hundreds.  We're into diminishing returns for PCs anyway;  the difference between this year's card and last years is nowhere near as great as it would have been 4 years ago, in terms of the ability to perceive differences.  Calm down.

How can you seem so angry over such a simple issue?

Yep please tell me how you got round this!

@RageGT:   No luck with your suggestion unfortunatly.  I will have fiddle around with the setting and see if I can find some way to accidently find the answer.   Thanks for your help though.

Butthurt? no.
Annoyed?  Yes.
Still waiting on RtO on PC here.
Simply explained to you that console gaming/developing and kowtowing to consoles over PC's will eventually drive PC sales into the ground.  If/When that happens it no longer becomes profitable to develop for the PC.  Afterall this is a business driven by profit.

Short but I enjoyed it. Makes the game feel more complete. Not as good as Warden's Keep but still worth it.

Okay - to be specific - when I start Dragon Age up I do NOT get the pop up saying there is new items available for download. If you go to the Game-Add-Ons section of Xbox live and go to DAO then Return to Ostegar is listed as available for 400 points, but when you try to download it (Chicagoland area) it comes up with 800... error saying that that content is no longer available online.

Mine did that, but it was downloadable under my hubby's gamertag. Thought it was just my gamertag so I downloaded it with his, switched back to mine and it's playable.

I've got the specializations locked bug too across all saves as far as I can tell. Not such a big deal with the completed ones, but still not exactly an awesome thing to have happen to the uncompleted characters.. <_<

I do hope that there was a screw up and this is supposed to be fixed... If not, can we get a patch here please? And if so, seeing as how I've paid for and downloaded the add-on I'd like to know when the non-bugged version is supposed to be getting released.

EDIT: Just saw What a Twist's post. Going to try the reboot and see if it unlocks mine as well.

Consoles are simpler, these days if you want a gaming machine you have to pay a thousand or more, and thats if you know where to get the parts, how to put it together, and then theres software. A console is maybe $300, and then the games are 60$ like on the PC, its just better for the average guy.

If they made a console that had software as flexible as a PC, PC gaming would be gone.
