So basically Firefly Mass Effect style. Totally approve. Citadel showed they have the dialogue chops to do it.

I like this idea

That would be pretty cool. If you absolutely had to have a human protagonist there's always the option to have the main character become an Alliance Corsair. Being the captain of a ship sent out to explore the galaxy and make money. It would be great to have a Mass Effect meets Rogue Trader kind of game.

Perhaps even an origin story?

To choose to be part of Alliance as Corsair, Privateer from one of Terminus Colonies, Pirate from Omega and etc.

Just few simple ideas I got in my mind.

Yes, let's go from Reaper overlord destroying the entire galaxy to hunting down space pirates.....

I actually like the sounds of this but maybe that's just because it has the word Firefly in it.

It will be called Alliance Corsair, and the space battles will be pretty realistic

That would be hilarious if it happens, from now on.

So like Cowboy Bebop or Outlaw Star but in the Mass Effect universe? I would buy that. And the protagonist must be voiced by Steve Blum. For the irony.

It be really great if I could choose my crew from like a roster or something to really customize my approach.

Like if I want my crew to be all tech, I can decide to look for a bunch of quarians, salarians, etc to try and convince to join me, which also could bring bonuses, like easier access to hacking or tech attack multipliers.

The squad itself should be small (six or so), but the amount of people you can choose from should be at least twice the amount to promote multiple playthroughs with different combinations and personalities.

It'd be great to be able to customize your ship as well. If you're flying a junker, pirates and such are more likely to attack you, but if you have a well-armed ship, then maybe some people will look for you to escort them or attack something for them.

Lots of customization, in other words. I love that stuff.

Really want pirates, would even be fun being a terminus pirate fighting against the citadel races, even infiltrating them :)

I was thinking more along the lines of lost in space...an Alliance special R&D task force is studying alternative FTL flight during the early days of the Reaper invasion. Of course, it goes wrong and the fleet ends up in a neighboring galaxy on the brink of war between two major factions. You'd get to explore both groups and the galaxy as a whole...ultimately having to side with one side. You could incorporate OP's space pirates into the equation...or perhaps even have a third neutral option...playing each side against the other.

Bulletstorm is pretty much what you want, except ME's pseudo-RPG and pseudo-freedom.

1. Not possible to reach closest galaxy in less then a century with Reaper FTL, let alone normal ones everyone uses in ME universe. Reapers are millions of years ahead in technology, no way in less then a year they could reach even close to Reaper capabilities.
2. It would be completely new universe, with just ME tacked on. Might as well create new universe.

Pirates are cool and would be interesting but here was my thoughts for what I would like

So was just in the DA3 boards snooping around and I hear both are or will be running on FB2 while i'd rather UE4 that is not a issue glad to hear that we are upgrading. Also I hope you return to the ME1 armor selection, not cut and paste but make modular armor that changes depending on the model its on and have it customizable. Would love to see my turian wearing the same type of armor for example ERCS (ellanus risk control services armor) is looted off a merc and you are like well I already have a set for myself I'll give this one to my turian and or sell it depending on how you feel at that given moment.

I was also perusing your previous titles and I liked KOTOR's inventory screen, one like that for NME would do wonders compared to the mess that was ME1. When we asked for a improvement to the inventory UI we didn't mean remove it all together.

This one might catch some flak on here but what if you canonized the destroy ending and one of the core story elements were reforming the council and rebuilding as well as expanding to find new places which means activating dormant mass relays. Only 1% (if that) of the galaxy has been explored who knows what lies out there for us to discover.

Also many have stated it and I agree increase party size to four (PC and three NPC) that would fit well with the game and it was originally planned for ME1 if I remember correctly.

I mentioned this earlyier but will expand on it Customizable ships and a home base or base of operations. This could be one in the same. ME3 has us using the Normandy less and the Kodiak more. What I propose is maybe adding a few choices not right when the game starts but an hour or two in we are offered a selection of ships cruiser class which is slightly bigger than a Frigate and can’t land on some planets but we have shuttles to get us from ship to ground and these ships can be customized/upgraded. One thing I always wanted was to choose my crew unfortunately I doubt I could get Joker back at the helm but I would like to select maybe turian gunnery specialists, asari, navigation, salarian research specialists, human medical specialists, or any combination of the lot. I would also like to customize the look of the ship; many liked the clean civilian look of ME2, while others including myself enjoyed the military feel of the SR1 or ME3 SR2. As for upgrades the common shields, armor, weapons, engines, hanger, and many more items. The ship would be a hub of its own where you could do business, take missions, relax with crew and companions, and many more things.

This leads me to my last thing. Give us vehicle exploration again with choice. Depending on the era (I’m assuming sequal not too far off from ME3 ending) give us the M-35, Hammerhead, and others. Bring Mass Effect back to its roots where storytelling and exploration were the cornerstones but don’t let combat fall to the wayside what you did for ME3 was awesome combat wise now bring that trifecta together to make the ME we all deserve.

What do you guys think?

I'd like that. Some sort of Firefly setting.
