Geth Spitfire only has 600 RPM(not 800) when ramped up, DPS is 25% less than expected

Honestly, neither the typhoon nor spitfire do appropriate damage in my opinion. For weapons of that size/caliber, especially considering the extra slow down of the spitfire, they should do massive damage, per bullet. The point of lugging a giant machine gun around is that it would be big and heavy for a reason: it shoots big heavy rounds; 50 cal rounds; Big ****ing sniper rifle bullets but at full auto. The spitfire should be quickly melting enemies away on any difficulty.
The first intended use for the .50cal was not a sniper rifle but the machine gun that fired them. the BMG in the end says it all(Browning Machine Gun) sorry, but you left that wide open.

Except ME lore specifically states that the bullets are very small (in case of Typhoon) and Spitfire shoots plasma charges
Other than that, I agree completely. It must be brought at least to 800 RPM along with the 10% buff.

I get that the thing has considerable recoil and spread, but still, it shouldn't take so long for Collectors to freeze in my opinion. I could be wrong, but with that dps, I think it should kinda happen sooner.
Oh, and by the way: the spread isn't anywhere near as bad as the Revenant's. I was able to shoot at things at the other side of Giant, and that's something the Revenant just can't do. Surely, I wasn't getting any headshots, but I was hitting things and even killing some. Can't imagine doing that with the Revenant.

I know nothing about weapons, but I read that as "brownie machine gun" and now I'm smiling.

Judging by the numbers in this thread, I will prefer Typhoon even if the Spitfire gets a ROF and damage buff. Since it is getting only damage buff, the decision is more obvious.
Well, many people from this thread want to invoke the power of BSN and attract Eric Fagnan's (or "The Fagnan's") attention to this problem

It should be a tiny bit below Typhoon to become [only] Geth weapon of preference. Worse against armor should do it.

I've only tried it on the Destroyer so far, but I did notice one thing: I equipped level 4 cryo ammo, and it took suspiciously long to freeze targets.

BAD NEWS FOR U
the codex says the spitfire is not a true "energy wep"
so it actually fires projectile base ammunitions

Mind you I was a Soldier using Adrenaline Rush. I really miss ME2 Heavy Weapons actually being HEAVY WEAPONS, they were all good. Even the Flamethrower was good, especially on the Collector Ship killing that big spawn of Husks.

This thread needs more attention. No wonder the Spitfire in Sirian's video looked almost as bad as the GPR.
As bad as the gpr?
The gpr is way better then the spitfire and is very good at platinum games together with an geth engineer, overload and incidiary ammo for those sweet fire explosions with the gpr on plat i get arround 130k to 175k, the spitfire hardly does that kind of points tried it on plat and got arround 90k to 120k if im lucky on plat.
