The Spitfire deserves justice.

This explains why it feels so much worse than it technically should.

Hope they see the light and buff the f*ck out of it.

I'm not sure what the point of the weapon was in the first place
we already have the typhoon
If it gets buffed does it do anything differently or better than the typhoon
strip shields?
to that I say: big whoop

The purpose of the Spitfire was to be the go-to weapon for the Juggernaut and non-sniper Geth. If this unexpectedly low fire rate is true, that explains why even on them the Typhoon outperforms it with racial bonuses.

Given the speed penalty and the highest encumbrance, it should perform at least as well as the prenerf typhoon. But no, it performs worse than the post nerf typhoon.

Why are they going to keep us waiting for weeks and months (like they did with locust and a few others). Why dont they make it balanced (massive buff) in one go? It does not necessarily have to be a long, painful process.

This explains everything.

Hope Fagnan takes this into account with the balance change. Here's hoping they can give it its proper ROF to go along with the damage buff.

Should get at least a x1.5 damage multiplier vs armour and a base damage buff of 20% at least regardless of Rof, if it is true that it's only 600 rpm then a bigger base damage buff should be given.

This thread must be bumped on Monday when the devs can see it. Also, very good find.

For as heavy as this POS is it needs a signficant buff to even be worth considering to even use it. If not, there is literally no reason I will ever use it.  It's like Bioware is not even playing the same game we are playing.

Really, a PM to a dev about this thread, and bumps come Monday is the best bet. Unless BroJo reads it.

Pretty sure the odds of them happening to be on BSN and reading this post on their days off is pretty slim.

(EDIT: Of course, the less we talk about buffing its armor damage multiplier, or other patch-only changes, the better, I would suspect)

It does. It is still inferior to the Acolyte or the Reegar for stripping shields and barriers. And those weapons are much easier to get and they are much lighter.

urgh. Does it need a patch to change the multiplier numbers? Right it's going to need a significant buff to bring it up to a decent level then, 10% is in no way going to cut it, at lvl 1 it's got 53 dmg then it should get 40-50% damage buff to bring the damage lvls up to a good lvl vs armour. Otherwise it's a huge paper weight. PPR outclasses it in every way.

Let's see how bw defends this one. Math proved the horridness of the talon. It does the same here as well. Spitfire can be argued now as worst weapon in the game.

You can't really compare shuriken scimitar to Spitfire.

I thought its official bioware doesnt know their own game.

I didnt know of the 800RPM with this gun but it clearly fires really slowly that my jugg rarely has to visit the ammo box and also it plain freaking sucks, in dps.
Have it at X.

The Spitfire is worse, considering its rarity level. It's more spit than fire.

Sadly, yeah. I actually PMed Eric Fagnan about it way back when the Balance All the Things group was still active. Such a shame too, since it could do so much to distinguish various weapons.

If it fired at 800rpm, a 10% buff would actually do a lot for it, making it probably one of the best weapons for clearing groups of protected mooks (IE: depleting the spawn budget rapidly), and it would still probably deserve a bigger buff. But yeah, to get there at 600rpm it'd need something more like 40-50%... which would make it really solid against armor.

That sucks, hopefully it'll get the attention it needs.

So where did anyone ever say the GSF fired at 800RPM anyway?
