Geth Spitfire only has 600 RPM(not 800) when ramped up, DPS is 25% less than expected

So where did anyone ever say the GSF fired at 800RPM anyway?

Here, for one.

What kind of buff would be needed to make the Spitfire decent. We're all in agreement that 10% just won't cut it. How drastic would it need to be? 40%? 50%?

I get that the thing has considerable recoil and spread, but still, it shouldn't take so long for Collectors to freeze in my opinion. I could be wrong, but with that dps, I think it should kinda happen sooner.

It really, really doesn't. I can't even fathom that people complain about the spread/recoil. Its mindboggling. People that do should just stick to their PPRs and CSRs and similar pinpoint accurate/zero recoil weapons.

Mind you, Nissun, I'm not saying you're complaining these things, just using what you said to make a point.

Could test it out on a Human Solider (Adrenaline Rush with the durability boost at Rank 4, for a 50% damage boost) or the T.Sol (50% ROF boost) and see how it performs.

But make sure to bring an Adrenaline Mod III if you want to move at a semi-reasonable speed.

White/Giant might be the best maps. Just stand at the top of the ladder (White) or Ramp/control room (Giant) and let loose.

Looks like*

It would either needs to be buffed to 800rpm at full ramp-up or a huge damage buff at 600rpm. Nice thing about the latter choice is it would be less susceptible to lost-ammo bugs.

* Apologies for the clunky, incomplete spreadsheet. I never made a cleaner version since Cyonan and tyhw beat me to the punch. Note that I didn't even bother calculating for ramp up or charge times and just calculate those weapons at full ramp. If I wanted to make a sheet that would do that, it probably wouldn't be able to compare more than two weapons at a time effectively. Same reason there's no kill time calculations.

Jesus, you'd need a 50% Firepower boost to give it the same DPS as a 10% one with the correct fire rate!

Just looking at Evan's chart, you can clearly see that the DPS for the current Geth Spitfire is several orders of Magnitude worse than the Collector Rifle.

Words fail.

Not exactly, but it's close. I had to remove some theorycrafted experiments from the list, for the sake of clarity.

But it's leagues behind the Typhoon in it's current state. Which is crazy.

It is when you factor in accuracy and mobility loss.

Damn, that RoF needs to get fixed pronto! And then a 10% buff on top of that!

It isn't innaccurate when you actually aim with it. Why do people insist on calling the Spitfire inaccurate? L2Aim FFS.

Stop defending this. The Typhoon's firing cone is much tighter, and you know this. It's not quite Revenant bad, but it's definitely worse off than the CAR as far as accuracy goes.

As an aside, this revelation means that the Geth Spitfire has the single worst power:size ratio of any weapon in the entire game, bar none.

Having used the CAR on the Awakened spec'd for power damage and the Spitfire on the Juggernaut spec'd for weapon damage (though with the 15% penalty from MAXIMUM ARMOR), the CAR is definitely much, much better at killing things.

Which is pathetic.

This explains why it feels so much worse than it technically should.

Hope they see the light and buff the f*ck out of it.

Plz, BW. It's the heaviest gun in the game and the unique slowdown effect is a HUGE disadvantage.

Again, it's nowhere near as finicky/weird as the Revenant.

But for a UR? A UR with that many drawbacks? Are you serious?

And all other factors... yeah.

Just saying, it at least has better damage. However small an edge that is, considering everything else.

But, unless something changed between the data Cyonan posted and the in-game performance there's not much difference between the CAR's [0.5-0.9] zoom spread and the Spitfire's [0.5-1.0]. Still, that damage is pathetic. For twice the weight, with a slowdown penalty and extreme rarity you'd expect the gun to be pretty badass.

I'm not saying it doesn't need a damage buff, but people that complain about the accuracy/recoil are just flat wrong (as the data posted above shows)

Yeah, it was a  crude test.  But when I got the results I did, I figured I should let people know.  This isn't a definitive test.

I just hope its not a particle limitation similar to Team Fortress2, where it only shows  a certain amount of particles despite the damage the minigun and sentry level 2-3 doo.
