I don't even have this yet, but yes - it sounds buff-worthy. I want an LMG to rip through enemies like butter, and balance to be through a lack of accuracy, not damage tradeoff.

Currently,(mine's at X) the only thing like butter it does is drip through toast.

I think it's meant to kill the enemy by deafening them and hoping some of them will commit suicide over said deafness.

 The spitfire was the one thing I was looking forward to the most in the DLC but when I used it I was so dissapointed.  Its complete garbage.  Not worth using on any class on any difficulty.  Definately not on platinum.

No. The speed up is much too subtle for that.

Besides, all weapons receive the speed up equally—faster firing weapons would still be faster and slower firing weapons are still slower. The only guns where the Gold speed up makes any meaningful difference at all are the high-ROF semi-autos like the Mattock, and that's just because the click speed to get the most out of them is slightly higher.

Pretty sure nobody complaining about the Spitfire is a Bronze player.

I am not a bronze player, but I did a bronze solo with it to quantify just how weak it was. It did not disappoint. It was takijg its sweet time killing the enemies. Before I saw its stats, I was convinced that its ROF was not much higher than GPSMG. So when I saw 800rpm on the spreadsheet I was quite surprised. I couldnt understabd the discrepancy.

Even if it did 25% more dps, it would only go from shooting marshmallows, to shooting spitballs. This gun seriously needs to do something like 2-3x more dps than it does now, in order for it to be worth using.

Yeah I was being sarcastic - I know that on bronze anything goes.

For me Spitfur is a completely wrong gun concept, but if if really does 75% of the intended damage, then well, let's say that I would be surprised half a year ago.
