There will be a serious spanking coming your way if you pull that stunt again!

What mods do you guys use with your Spitfire?

Also, bump.
As for the mods: extended barrel and magazine if using AP ammo, extended barrel and piercing mod when using something else. In theory of course, because after using it a few times on the first day, I have no intention of doing it again until it gets significantly buffed. The damage is so low that you simply cannot afford not taking extended barrel.

EB and AP. Don't need as much ammo as you do damage.

Ran a test with it. The results were quite telling.
When used by most classes, the Spitfire just isn't very good. Depending on how you roll, the Spitfire is outclassed by the Collector Rifle on many classes (due to no spin-up, quick reload, and no movement penalties), the Revenant (better damage overall, no spin up, no movement penalty, but worse accuracy), and perhaps most-surprisingly, the Geth Pulse Rifle, due to accuracy, Fire Rate, and Headshot Multiplier.
It also loses to the Mattock and Vindicator, which is just sad.
When compared to the heavies of the Rifle class, like the Argus, it doesn't even compare. The Argus and Saber, for example, not only curb-stomp its DPS, but do better alpha strike damage and have better range. About the only rifle the Spitfire lords over is the Adas.
The thing is that the Spitfire is designed for weapons classes like the Typhoon is (look at how prohibitive the weight range is on both), so "testing on most classes" is pointless.
Putting a Spitfire on a Novaguard or AA would be just as dumb as putting a Typhoon on her. The real issue is that this gun is so awful, weapon classes can't make it decent.
With a Juggernaut you don't notice the movement speed penalty, but he has horrid weapon bonuses compared to other weapons classes. The movement speed kills this thing on a Destroyer, and outside being an infiltrator, it's going to murder cooldowns.

At any rate, I just don't understand why they didn't think the heaviest gun in the game shouldn't be the most damaging.

And I'll lose a little bit more faith in humanity.
Because, having a huge clip and loads of spare ammo clearly makes the gun worthy of being a 3.0 weight UR with a 30% movement speed penalty.... Not.

And y'know what? Fagnan is going to post, saying 600 RPM is the correct fire rate, and that the 10% buff will be sufficient.

I really hope that doesn't happen. I really do...
It is so painfully obvious that a 10% damage buff can't possibly be enough. I hope Eric will see that.

What the hell is this thing's purpose?

It doesn't have one currently. And if it gets only a 10% buff it still won't have a purpose.
