I just got Spitfire III from a Spectre Pack. The RNG clearly has a sense of humour.

Also, bump.

As for the mods: extended barrel and magazine if using AP ammo, extended barrel and piercing mod when using something else. In theory of course, because after using it a few times on the first day, I have no intention of doing it again until it gets significantly buffed. The damage is so low that you simply cannot afford not taking extended barrel.

Putting a Spitfire on a Novaguard or AA would be just as dumb as putting a Typhoon on her. The real issue is that this gun is so awful, weapon classes can't make it decent.

With a Juggernaut you don't notice the movement speed penalty, but he has horrid weapon bonuses compared to other weapons classes. The movement speed kills this thing on a Destroyer, and outside being an infiltrator, it's going to murder cooldowns.

Nah, the problem is that even on a destroyer, you're still shooting rubberbands. If it did even as much damage as the Typhoon I could deal with the movement penalty.

Is this related to the weird ROF findings of other weapons?

At any rate, I just don't understand why they didn't think the heaviest gun in the game shouldn't be the most damaging.

And I'll lose a little bit more faith in humanity.

Because, having a huge clip and loads of spare ammo clearly makes the gun worthy of being a 3.0 weight UR with a 30% movement speed penalty.... Not.

I really hope that doesn't happen. I really do...

It is so painfully obvious that a 10% damage buff can't possibly be enough. I hope Eric will see that.

I would totally be OK with 600rpm being the correct fire rate if it meant more than a 10% buff. That'd be the best way for the gun to get solid DPS against armor, without making it completely absurd against other defenses.

It doesn't have one currently. And if it gets only a 10% buff it still won't have a purpose.
