In my head the ideal version of Mass Effect would be one where its like Star Trek: The Next Generation. No Reapers, no saving the galaxy, just Shepard and the crew traveling the galaxy and have self contained stories and adventures.
This got me thinking. If you could have a plot of a Star Trek episode redone in the Mass Effect universe, which would it be?
I would want the one where Data gets the emotion chip but replace him with EDI. I also love the episode where they are stuck in a time loop and keep having deja vu. Seeing the crew of the Nomandy in that situation could be real interesting.
What if the plot of a Star Trek episode was in Mass Effect instead

A time loop episode in Mass Effect would hilarious. The Normandy crew keeps reliving the same day over and over and they have to program EDI with a subliminal message to break the cycle.
Or maybe something like "Trouble with Tribbles" except replace the Tribbles with Pyjacks and they and they run amok all over the ship.

Where No Man Has Gone Before.
Normandy attempts to leave the galaxy and finds the Reapers out in Dark Space waiting. Two crew members are infected with a heavy strain of space magic.

This is funny. I've been watching Star Trek: TNG lately. I say we just dress everyone we don't like in a red shirt and then send them on a mission.
