I can see it now, I also bought it, the download was very slow, and for some reason the version number required 1.02 was in red, so I quit the game, reapplied the patch.

Guess what happends? My 400 points are gone and it's not downloading the DLC, it's just right there back to the Available Content page

Same thing, only I had no red numbers and I had 0% download for 3 hours. Restarted the game and points are gone.

I dont care about few €, but this is basically scam and I will sure never buy anything from Bioware again.

IIRC despite the name the points system is entirely handled by EA. Why not try calling or emailing customer service about it?

I don't think it is a scam but trying to download something that hasn't been officially released is rather dumb.

Someone at Microsoft Droped the ball which set off this whole confusing chain of events leading to things getting sent out at wrong times when there not meant to be and all that so just wait a few hours for some word from Bioware which there has been some but they didnt know what happened yet either so just hold on man...

I am not spending a cent on phoning Canada or we they are from EU. I put up the ticket at EA customer support but I got notice they will answer in 24 hours - and I am indeed very interested in what answer will be.

 Hey you guys!
Someone with XBOX ver. said "This DLC was like 143mb".
I did some research and found Pir... ver. that almost the same size as XBOX.
But in my DAO it's 350 MB.

So What wrong with this DLC that I found on my DAO menu?:crying:

I hear what you are saying but from a customer standpoint how do you know the release isn't official?  It's available in your marketplace within the DOA game.....are you supposed to now go to the forum or main page to verify it before you DL?   If so, that's not going to work because we are often the last to get any information......

Are you saying that everyone that doesnt care to hang on this forum 24/7 and pant for official release notice is dumb?
I had available, purchasable content in my game - I clicked on it and got BUY - and I bought it - how many forum or whatever site pages I had to check before I decided it is officially released or not?

"Disaster?" "Fiasco?" "Colossal failure?"

Take a deep breath, relax, live happier and longer. Be glad you don't live in Haiti.

(Going into hiding now, probably won't dare to look at this thread again because I'm a big coward).

Been patient so far in waiting for the dlc, delay of games and content is common in the gaming industry.

The only thing bugging me about this whole process is biowares public announcements, first they post it will be available the 5th january, but on the day (the 5th) it is suddenly delayed claiming some major bug needs to be fixed. Well major bugs needs to be fixed of course but how optimistic is it to set a date when the content obviously hadn't been tested thoroughly since a major bug was found. Next up, if today is indeed the release date of this dlc why is it SURPRISE released without any notice of any kind on one platform and held back on all others... seems kind of fishy and unprofessional to me. So I have just one question to bioware. Looking back on this whole series of events do you think it should have been handled differently or are you happy how it turned out?

Given that it appears to not be showing up at all for a majority of PC players, how are we supposed to answer that question.

I guess the question is "Do you feel lucky?"

Without knowing how the user entitlements work behind the scenes its hard to say whether buying a RtO that's showing up now will allow you to download the real version when its released.

I don't blame people who see its there and try and download it without checking the forums, but since there have been no reports of anybody successfully downloading it on the PC, if you're actually reading these threads it seems better to wait until there's an announcement and it seems more "real".

Same thing here Cat. And somehow that EA service works! When I bought the DDE online and could not d/l it because  ghe EADM doesn't work on win7 64-bit (doesn't for me and it says so on EA's FAQ) they actually worked pretty fast in giving me my credit back and it was some 80 bucks, not 5. And then I bought the physical box for the CE. Worked better that way in the end. I like my **** in a box!

You did mention the Order number for the points in the ticket, right? I know you did, smart Cat and all! =)

In regards to the points, I've noticed mine come and go. Sometimes it says I have the 400 I bought for RtO and sometimes it doesn't.

If you were playing on the 360 and didn't frequent the forums, you'd have no idea that it wasn't "officially released". I got an update when I turned on the game this morning and came online to see what the deal was (I had assumed it was a patch and was wondering what got changed). Had I not been curious, and just seen the new DLC pop up in the bottom left corner, I would have had no idea that it has been causing problems. I'm glad I was curious about the changes (a history of MMOs has taught me to be cautious), but my guess is the average player wouldn't have done the research I did.

Looks like it wasn't delayed to keep schedule with the PS3. So I apologize to BioWare for accusing them of delaying the PC/360 version to wait for the PS3 version.
