Ok, here is something I learned while playing before and after reckoning, Mass Effect Multiplayer games are most fun when you aren't worrying about credits. In the days before I walked through Gold on my Geth Soldier having a blast, even playing a little silver with ex cerb for kicks.

Now after, now that pack I am grinding through Gold with one of my Geth units, board as I count my cash to get the next reserve pack.

Ok, now I'm making the assumption that a lot of you feel the same way, this is my argument for why ultra rares should have their own pack. We will keep playing for the love of the game.

I encourage for all you who work desperately to max your manifests the new 'Black Market pack' containing one guaranteed ultra rare gun.

Are you with me BSN?

If it cost significantly more than PsPs I would welcome it

why bother? how about a bonus gear that forces stingy d'bags to use their missiles when they're needed instead of causing mission fails?

I remember when someone suggested that a 100% chance of receiving an ultra-rare should cost 10m credits, I was laughing so hard.

Eh. I kind of like the grinding for URs as it gives me more of an incentive to keep playing.

I just hope the Chakram Launcher and the Commendation Pack weapons are introduced into the normal packs as URs when Bioware decides to stop doing weekend operations.

I'd welcome a UR pack very much. Because since the last DLC, my hopes of ever maxing my manifest have been thrown completely out of the window now... :(

22 packs without an Ultra-Rare and only the Lancer 1 to show for the Reckoning DLC... yeah I'd like to have a "guaranteed UR pack".... especially considering I finally threw a little bit of $$$'s(not much) to Bioware as a thank you.

Mind you I've had rares maxed out since April of LAST YEAR, and I'm still trying to max out my UR's which with all the new ones, have a long ways to go before they are maxed.

Oh and something I would like to add for my own thread, I would also believe it would keep people playing.
I mean, once I get my rares maxed out it will be insanely difficult to get any URs. I have played on and off sense a few days before realise (Space Ed) and I consider myself pretty causal. I would really like the option of having a maxed manifest by the time the servers shut down.

If they did it it would be so cost prohibitive it wouldn't be worth buying.

Honestly, a pack with 1 UR, 1 Rare, and three consumables would be the best thing ever... 300,000 Cr and you've got a deal. No... really... that's 4 gold games or a little over 2 platinums... or you know, 9 Silvers or like 17 bronze games. IS THAT NOT REASONABLE?!?

But for real, final DLC is out, Bioware, listen to the fans and bring this in before multiplayer dies out. I'm on board and would probably be back on for ages if it happened, so would people I know who have all but left the multiplayer.

I don't think any of you "get it". Bioware doesn't want you playing the game UNLESS you're spending REAL MONEY. It costs money to keep servers active, and simply playing games on them is making them exactly zero dollars.

This is why there will never be a pack with a guaranteed UR.

It'd be nice if there was a pack that legitimately had a "high" chance of getting one, though, because in my experience SPs and PSPs have about the same drop rate for URs, making PSPs largely a waste of money.

Oh, but I would like a pack with a high chance for Gear, because I have so much Rare Gear not maxed. Maxing the characters and Rare weapons was incredibly fast, but there are many Rare Gears that I only have at level 1 or 2, and a few I just don't have at all. That seems weird.

It'd probably be more than a million credits per pack. Its like a ~10% drop rate so that would work out.

But then people would get super butthurt at it costing more. It'd probably be better off being like tree-fiddy and having like a 35% chance and at least guarantees 2 cyclonics.

Another alternative is to make it only buyable with real money, but I think for that 10 bucks for 5 guns would make a good amount of money

See, the problem is that many people left because of the UR drop rate. If they brought it in with a guaranteed drop, I swear some returners would pay like 320-400MSP for that one level of an Ultra Rare. However, that's not enough to keep everyone around, because not everyone will pay that. I myself would try to get more people who've left the game re-involved (more friends = less public games with background dancers ^_^) and get myself a Black Widow X and Particle Rifle X. Otherwise, I'm likely to leave this game over the next couple months with GoW: Judgement, Ao2: TDC, Dead Island: Riptide, Bioshock Infinite and FUSE coming out. That's the problem. This game's RNG wears on your patience til either you leave, or you devote yourself to it. I mean, searching for each Widow level was frustrating but so rewarding when one appeared, searching for the BW... over 1200 N7 ranks and I've not seen it once. I quit because there are 30 other games waiting for me and this one is just laughing in my face, saying "You're never going to get it".

They should be AT LEAST 1.5 million credits.

Otherwise no.

Anything less than 500k credits and 600 msp/bwp would make psp's pointless to those with maxed regular rares which constitutes the majority of people who whine about this. If anything, I think the game needs a Bf3 style starter pack for $15+ that includes only the first rank of every common/uncommon/rare weapon of a type instead to help out new players. (thats not one rank but rather the first rank and first rank only so nothing for weapons that you've already got a rank or more in)

Yes, because everyone else doesn't whine because they quit the game... for real. The people that quit (and I mean that, not leave) do so because they know they'll never get crap in packs. Or rather, they only will get crap in packs. If I was able to play 4 gold games or 9 Silver games and KNOW I'd get a UR, I'd probably play a couple hundred games. Otherwise, I can't care. I've won a platinum against each type of enemy... what else is there to do that matters?
