First things first.  I am immune to my own banner / sig.  So no left click for you.

Next up...

I sort of noticed this in my Soldier game, but thought it was perhaps purely inexperience in the Arena.  Well maybe not.  I think the squad members are in fact particularly inept when it comes to Armax, especially against Geth or Collectors when Enhanced Enemy Damage is activated.  I was in a match against Geth yesterday with Ash and Miranda vs Super Elites that was particularly painful.  If they just looked at a Prime, they got stun locked and killed.  Well sometimes it was the ripple fired missiles from a gaggle of Rocket Troopers.

Just now I started the Unusual Scores sidequest with my no charge Novaguard.  Unknown map / enemy, super elite, full bonus, Garrus and Miranda.  Collectors on Brimstone.  I parked them in cover far away from the enemy and they still got blasted out of cover by Scions.  Wonderful honestly.  But I suppose not as bad as my first ever full bonus game that landed on that map vs Cerberus where Dragoon troll squads just kept killing them. :)

Another thing is that I don't think they are that smart on these arena maps when it comes to pathing.  They seem to go in questionable directions and are just slow to go to cover or follow, regardless of if you issue the order or not.  It doesn't help that the game has a penchant for starting the spawns right on top of you.  Order a squad member to move their ass, and they are still in the middle of it when the countdown is over half the time.

Oh well.

Interestingly, when I did the Mirror match for the achievement the first time, I didn't seem to run into the problem some people had where squad members wouldn't engage the enemy.  Garrus and Miri seemed to do that reasonably well, and weren't completely inept that time.  But, that wasn't a big bonus game.

And as an aside, One Shot Shields turns my no charge Novaguard into a low level Soldier that happens to have Pull basically. Not unexpected, unfortunately. :)

Does "One Shot Shields" apply to your squad as well?  Or just to Shep?  It is hard for me to tell.  It seems like Enhanced Enemy Damage is what makes them less survivable.  Such that One Shot Shields on top of that doesn't seem to make a difference.

I've been running James with the Adas and Garrus with the Typhoon and they've been quite effective. Wanted to run Grunt instead of James but he runs off and tries to melee everything instead of the Adas spam I wanted. No Grunt, headbutting that Banshee isn't a good idea. Haven't enjoyed biotic team mates at all for some reason.

The keys there are Adas and Typhoon. :)

I don't have the Typhoon, although I do have the Adas. I suppose I could go that route. Or just go no squad members on full bonus games.

Don't bring Wrex or Grunt to a Mirror Match. They literally do nothing. I'm guessing there is a bug in the Krogan AI that stops them from engaging clones.

I highly recommend Jack and Samara. We wrecked it. Their powers compliment each other so well. They can self detonate and set off multiple BEs. It brought back memories of ME2 and they were my Biotic Death Squad.

Is there something wrong with using the 2 assault rifle of overpowered cheese to easy mode the arena? :P

They can at least make good decoys. Adas with incendiary ammo is hilarious even on James and Grunt (if you can get him to stand still and shoot). Strips shields and sets up easy kill streaks via fire explosions and DoT. Don't forget the explosive burst evo if you do it.

Yeah I have been using Lancer on the AR squaddies for IEB.

I suppose they are good enough decoys.  I guess I am just tired of reviving them and ruining my kill streaks. :)

You really should try the Adas for kills streaks. Dat splash damage with incendiary ammo. Be careful with inclines though, they will try to shoot through them.

I normally run no medgel, no thermal clips and one shot shields and wrex and grunt competently demolishes Reapers. But the moment I add either enhanced enemy shields or damage much less both they turn into corpses on the ground. Strange really.

I try not to bring Wrex or Grunt to Reapers (but sometimes I get stuck with it during random). Everytime I bring a Krogan to fight Reapers, he gets insta killed by Brutes. I can babysit them out of enemy hands with fire explosions; but the second I take my eyes off one, he becomes an unreviveable corpse. Banshee grabs are slow and easy to spot, but Brute grabs are just so damn fast.

Special note for Kasumi's Tactical Cloak: the 5th rank "Recharge Speed" is bugged on her and does not reduce the power's cooldown rate.

Liara and Samara backing up an Flaredept. ggz AAA. I found out how to get maxed Killstreaks and roll like a pimp at the same time.

Found this thread while looking for something else, so I'll add my findings.

I really dislike the whole not being able to remove powers so the squadmate AI doesn't use them thing. In the Armax Arena, sometimes I'll notice that they activate their ammo power on their own (so far Jack has done this twice, but that's all I've seen in my few arena matches on this playthrough so far).

Also, while playing the Citadel DLC mission itself, Wrex would sometimes just stand there as soon as we encountered hostiles and activate his stim packs one by one, effectively eating up all of the grenade ammo I planned to use.
